To the tape watchers, regarding OL?

I know it’s early and no where near panicking yet, but it’s kind of wild to me they weren’t more aggressive in the Portal with this OL. The combination of youth and inexperience from top to bottom, not sure how Mario and Mirabal were so confident in the group as a whole.

Rodriguez struggled pretty badly against Stanford.

He had issues with high snapping the ball & whiffed on multiple run Blocks.

It would be one thing if it was just one-off, but this has been the pattern of his play over the last 4 years since he's been here.

Solid rotational Guard, but not a starting Center, especially for a team that has National championship aspirations.

I was told Rodriguez wasn’t bad. I guess people missed the 5 plus ****** snaps and one of those Mensah bailed him out and ended up getting a td out of it.

But but but the PFF numbers show he had a good game…….
 
SJ is being groomed at center. His game fits perfect.

Ryan Rodriguez had some terrible snaps that Mensah covered up.

That’s what I said yesterday those numbers don’t mean **** to me. Just watch the tape. How Rodriguez was in the 70’s blows my mind.
 
Rodriguez looks the exact same as he did in the opener against Florida a few years ago.

Letting the DT lined up 2 feet away from him run right past him untouched. Cam dodged the free rusher and hit George for a TD.

2 entire years later and its the same exact thing, but its Mensah to Toney.

He just doesn't get it.

Same thing with Brown and Smith on defense.

They aren't going to magically improve after years and years on the roster.

They are what they are.

He was ******* up snaps in 2023 BC game I think, my thing is how are you a 6 year center STILL ******* up!?

This is exactly what I thought if we keep McCoy at T. But Cantwell didn't move anyone at G. We may need McCoy at G and Cantwell at T

Congdon did play in the 4th qtr to those who doubt me. He's literally on the snap count chart.

i started a thread on sj, should have hopped on this track instead ... i think we're just early on him ... he needs another year ... think samson ... he shouldnt be starting but he should be getting snaps ... he just can't get beat without laying a hand on the guy

I believe with Cantwell and Buchanan/Congdon in the lineup our run game will get a ton more push up front in the interior

This is way over-the-top.

He had a couple bad reps early, but was good in pass pro the whole game.

Buchanan had a really bad pass pro rep, but Mensah erased it by throwing off his back foot and hitting Toney.

SJ was running right by guys he was supposed to block last year when he played FB. He's doing the same thing now at G. He serves no purpose at all if he can't win vs LBs at the 2nd level. He shows great feet missing play after play. Ballerina like movement to avoid contact

I think SJ at center next year would be really really good there he's elite athlete

I think he’s the best we got this year. So hopefully he improves.

i agree about running by guys... so it comes down to recognition ... he just needs more seasoning
