I'll keep renewing. I enjoy the games. I certainly can identify more about the coverages and blocking schemes and overall approach of the team from low upper deck than watching on television.
What you really take from that stadium is that it's simply not a college atmosphere or full experience. Sorry but it's not. A little bit in the parking lot but that's about it.
A positive aspect is the passion percentage per fan. Miami is really upper tier in that category. It's evident throughout the stadium and before and after the game. The raw numbers may not be there but the ones who show up know the team and the tendencies and aren't shy about voicing it. That's another reason I'm not staying home. What am I supposed to use as a substitute, the game day discussion thread and then waiting for this forum to open up? What a joke. As a USC alum I appreciate that board on Rivals because the forum stays open and one emotional thread after another pops up as the game progresses, from the same dependable lot. Some substance and some flails but always entertaining. A locked closet is not entertaining or useful. It's fear. The world has more fear than we need.
Oh yeah, I also enjoy the post game meal at Shorty's, even if the price is many times higher than from my youth and I don't always make it to the original site on Dixie Highway. The spinoffs somehow don't taste or feel quite the same.
I have made once alteration this year. After the rape episode I'm not attending the road games. Last year I made several. There's a chance I might make it to Blacksburg but only because I have other need to be in that area during that specific week. We don't need morons on this roster. What are the odds it was only two? Now that I read about AQM's situation I'm even more convinced it's more than two. That new bit of AQM info may keep me away from Blacksburg.
