Miami Gardens, FL— Life’s better when the Tkachuk Brothers are doing crazy things.

Moments ago, it was announced that Florida Panthers’ stars Matthew and Brady Tkachuk will be ringing the Hurricane Siren at Thursday night’s home opener vs Florida A&M.



The Tkachuk family has become adored across South Florida over the years, with elite hockey genes being paired with fun-loving, carefree antics.

Last fall, Matthew Tkachuk was the celebrity guest picker by College Gameday for the ‘Canes week 4 rout vs Florida.

Brady is now reunited with his brother Matthew in Sunrise after the Ottawa Senators sent him to South Florida for three first-rounders (2x 2026, 2029) and a 2027 second-round selection.

For a program that has never been afraid to embrace a little chaos, there may not be a better family to help kick off the season.

Despite being a Bruins fan... I bought a Tkachuk jersey after the USA-Canada Four Nations Cup tilt. They both fought in the first minute of the game, turning what - in reality - was a glorified All-Star game into one of the best hockey games I've ever watched. Hard not to love them both

it's pretty easy to hate them both lol

i love them, but all of my friends who genuinely care about hockey a lot more than me absolutely despise both Tkachuk brothers

I think you would be surprised at the number of 'Canes fans that are Hockey fans...If it would be just alumni, the number would be even higher.

Didn't like Keith Tkachuk, his sons are okay; their USA Hockey contribution can't be denied, but as thisismyusername pointed out, most of us hockey fans who put their NHL Team (Isles in my case) in the 1A to Hurricanes football, really are not fans of them in the NHL context.

 

The Hurricane siren concept is awesome.

Allows us to acknowledge legends of all kinds while building hype for the game.

Also for the ppl complaining its not a Canes football alumn, its clear we are trying to tap into new markets for more fans.
