Titans land #1 draft pick and Cam goes #1

Yea if you feel that way you haven't been paying attention. 1st take & every show at fs1 has downplayed cams success & story while talking about shadeur. They can't just prop up Shadeur, cams always included in a negative light.
FS1 is just generating something to discuss ... not a lot to discuss regarding Cam as he IS the acknowledged #1 overall draft pick at QB. Period. Deion's kid is just that ... "Deion's kid" and media fodder for "clicks". Waste of time to even listen to.

Kiper insists on keeping Shadeur as the #1 QB in his top players list. He has stood alone for weeks on this.
Yea I saw that. Kiper is kinda old fashion & to his credit he admitted as much. Dude seems to have tenure at ESPN, can't be fired

I'm aware, hence my original comments

“I think we just got to meet the person, and got the opportunity to sit down with him multiple times, whether it be the [NFL Combine] or the pro day, his private workout, got to meet his family,” Borgonzi said.

“Just the competitive edge he has, you can feel that, talking with the kid. He’s very intelligent. We’ve had him [going over Xs and Os] several times with [coach Brian Callahan]. He comes from a great family as well.”

That competitive edge might have been revealed during Ward’s pro day, when the 22-year-old Texas native — just after completing an impressive pass — turned to Titans executives on hand and told them he was solidifying their belief in him.

“I think you’ve got to get to know Cam to understand that, his personality,” Chad Brinker, the Titans’ vice president of football operations, said of the light-hearted moment. “I think we enjoyed it. It was a cool moment. Cam’s confident. I wouldn’t say he’s ****y. There’s a fine line between the two.

“He carries himself the right way. I just appreciate the way he approaches the game, his competitiveness, just the way he plays the game with a quiet mind, the confidence he has. I think that’s been impressive.”

I’m so stoked. My son (he’ll be 8 in a couple weeks) has really fallen in love with sports this past year, and Cam and the season we had was a big part of that, as it coincided with his first season playing football. He and I have been counting down the days until the draft together for weeks and I already promised him a Cam Titans jersey.

It’s been so long since we’ve won a championship, or even won a decent bowl game, but Cam going #1 in the draft has me feeling almost as good. I’m gonna be so **** emotional tomorrow night.
