Time will pass and all will be forgotten

However this is a bad look for the university and the program overall. I don’t care how much you despise Manny but this isn’t right. Yeah yeah yeah, he’ll make millions and you’re not gonna feel sorry for him…blah blah blah. At the end of the day the man deserves a more dignified process than this. Partly medias fault yes but still not a good look imo
What’s not right? We gave Temple 4 million, we will be giving Manny 4 plus million for the buyout! What’s not right? Him doing his job? Shi$. I would do his job right now for $100,000! Please stop being a little girl and understand this is a mother fu$!ing business, player!

The people in the know (not the national media) understand that Miami has been respectful of Mario's demands and his timeline. Why would we unilaterally weaken our own position by firing Diaz before his replacement is signed?

Guys, they easily cold have told Manny already, just because it isnt in the media doesnt mean he hasnt been informed.

Like for fricks sake the media is pathetic, entitled little losers

Wow...what a well thought out, intelligent post...you have totally changed my mind

He could’ve not lost to fiu, la tech, duke and a plethora of other mediocre teams as well. His hubris was his ultimate undoing. He knows the school doesn’t see him as the long term solution. He could move on, but he wants to keep collecting checks.

The last 4+ hires haven’t been a good look. Losing to a garbage FSU this year on a 4th and 14 and trying to have some hero goal line stance is a bad look. 600 rushing yards to UNC is a bad look. FIU, LATech are bad looks. Saying this is what App State does to people is a bad look. We’ve had bad looks for 20 years, so waiting for an announcement and trying to get the hire right is fine. Stop with the nervousness and listen to the posters who actually have a clue wtf is going on.

This happens all the time in major corporations.

It’s just a big more rare in the world of sports.

Manny has been told in private and it’s been said in public…”his job is in the hands of the AD.”

He could have pulled a Dan Mullen and basically quit on the job.

But he held onto the hope that maybe another AD would think that he’s done enough and give him a shot.

The answer is simple….no

I’m sure behind closed doors he’s been told this would be happening. Even if he wasn’t aware your boss Blake was fired after refusing to fire you, you lost to a 3-6 FSU team, responsible for the worse losses at this program ever. If he feels insulted by this imagine how the fans feel after having to suffer from his arrogance and stubbornness

The same Diaz that told Temple he was their guy, stuck around 12 days and then ran back to Miami when the Canes called.

Tough business all around. He'll live and he'll have a swimming pool full of severance money to dry his tears.

There's a reason for all of this; namely, if Cristobal bails last second, Manny still wants the Miami job—so he's arguably sticking around and all right with being Plan B.

If he really wanted out, he'd have his agent and attorneys pushing UM to end the arrangement already.

I'm not sure some of you are reading this correctly....i am not advocating for Manny to keep his job!! I'm simply stating there is a more distinguished way for this to be handled and in my opinion it is being handled poorly. Im not sure if I can make it any more clear than that.

Manny has a soft landing spot right up the road off 8th street. Won’t even have to move! Don’t hate the guy, but he should’ve never gotten this job in the first place. He was an utter failure, and that’s okay, it’s not the end of the world. His biggest mistake was ditching Temple, karma…
You might have said a mouth full jus thn on that last line …..😎

Does he care about the players though? Seemed to have no problem throwing King out onto the field knowing he was injured.
I think he does. To a fault.

I also think King wanted to play no matter what. This was his last shot at making some money. And he made some through NIL.

Biggest mistake might have not rolling with Tyler Van Dyke in 2020. Imagine the Canes in 2021 with TVD and a year of seasoning. The defense would still have its issues, but a more experienced TVD wins 4 of those losses.
