However this is a bad look for the university and the program overall. I don’t care how much you despise Manny but this isn’t right. Yeah yeah yeah, he’ll make millions and you’re not gonna feel sorry for him…blah blah blah. At the end of the day the man deserves a more dignified process than this. Partly medias fault yes but still not a good look imo

ultimately I feel the same, that's why I made the thread stating they had to fire him yesterday.

but really it's this simple: nice guys finish last, they might hurt some feelings in the process but they are going to do what they feel gives them the best chance to land mario.

i also believe the "if mario it's manny back" crowd is wrong, no administration would do that, we would steal a lower tier coach if mario said no

Manny has a soft landing spot right up the road off 8th street. Won’t even have to move! Don’t hate the guy, but he should’ve never gotten this job in the first place. He was an utter failure, and that’s okay, it’s not the end of the world. His biggest mistake was ditching Temple, karma…

I don’t necessarily disagree but my opinion remains the same about how this is being handled

Texas was doing the same thing to Mack Brown in 2004, they were all set to bring in Steve Spurrier before Brown was even let go. Then he won the Rose Bowl & season after won the National Championship. Now different situation because they kept Brown.

He doesn't deserve ****. But agree this is not a good look for the university. We look lost and confused.

I mean Kelly was this week and they’re already done talking about it. Does everyone remember the cluster **** of jumbo going to A&M? The outrage will be over quick, quicker if and when we win.

My policy: Never cry for someone who been paid $12 million over three years plus a buyout. Unlike so many of us, he‘ll never have the ache of uncertainty about his family’s future.
And if he didn’t like being strung along, he could have just quit.
He tried, he failed. He’s a grownup.

You assume from the outside view. You have no idea what is taking place behind the scenes. Maybe he got a bonus to continue repping the U? What about how he handled Temple? This is college football. Coaching in the NCAA is cutthroat. Diaz knows this a. **** I’d say the way he runs delayed blitzes from 20 yards out on 3 and long is more damaging to Manny
‘d rep than this situation.

This entire process hasn’t been smooth, but tbh Manny should’ve been fired after the Virginia loss. If we are able to get the AD and HC we want in the end, it doesn’t matter how we got there. Manny might land on his feet too given the optics of winning 5 of his last 6. FIU honestly might be a good fit, as long as he doesn’t try to run the defense.
