2001 Canes 45, 2019 L$U 24

2000, 2001, and 2002 Miami teams all take 2019 L$U’s lunch money, buy a few cases of beer, and then pass around the brews and the Tiger’s cheerleaders.

German beer, please. I'd buy a few proper ones in glass bottles for @SWFLHurricane so that he can hit people ****talking Nate Webster.

Seven teams went over 25 points against them. Four opponents went over 35. They weren't "trash" as in bottom of the country bad but if you're compiling a list of all time great teams, they have the worst defense in the entire group. With a lot of these "All Time Great" lists, a lot of stuff is subjective but LSU's 2019 defense was objectively "OK". They were lights out against really bad teams but they gave up a ton of points and yards against most of the good offenses they played. You could even make the argument that their offense was so record breaking because it HAD to be. They had to keep the pedal to the floor 99% of the time because the defense couldn't be counted on to get stops. For example, their game against Ole Miss. It was 31-7 at the half, Joe Burrow ended up taking every single snap in that game because the defense allowed Mississippi to score 30 second half points. If their defense was relatively decent, Burrow gets a majority of the second half off and doesn't end up with almost 500 yards passing.
That hi-tempo spread offense makes a big difference. Ask Saban
I was being sarcastic... but you're being ridiculous,, you had no idea about just how good those lsu wr's are doing in the nfl, let alone how incredible joe burrow is, as the one poster pointed out. In fact you make it seem like um was miles ahead of them. Dorsey can't hold a candle to burrow, andre is a machine but our WR's are NOT as good as 2019 Lsu.

you just made some snarky comments about them because they aren't miami players. Burrow in his second season put up 70% passing completion and 4,600 yards on 34 Td's and 14 int's on the bengals. He's looking like a complete prodigy and the other 2 lsu wr's are dominant.

give credit where it's due.

miami wins the game, easily.
When you said Andre isn't as good as those guys, you lost credibility. AJ was bigger stronger and just as fast, if not faster, than both Chase and Jefferson.

Did you ever see Andre play?

Don't EVEN get me started....Lol at Dre not as good or faster.....Was the Big East Indoor 60meter Champ...and the Big East Outdoor 100meter Champ at 6'3 230lbs.....Jeff Thomas chumped LSUs vaunted secondary...What would Dre have done??....

This pak guy cannot have seen the '01 team. Andre Johnson dominated at all levels.

From your quote on him he actually said Andre was a machine but the wr core is what he is talking about.. Dont see where he said Andre wasnt as good..

He said our WR were not as good as LSU 2019. I can see where that can be taken in a different way. If we're talking as a whole, I understand a little. I mean Dre was the go to, and then Shockey, but we weren't built like LSU was, and we weren't an extremely pass heavy team.

Our offense may not have been as potent on the stat sheet as LSU, but we did almost whatever we wanted. The defense was just DIFFERENT!

And is soon to be an NFL Hall of Famer
100% HOF.

A shame he was stuck on Houston with average-to-bad quarterbacks. He only played on 4-5 playoff games, so some people sleep on him. Had he played on a consistent playoff team with a top QB he could have had another 30-40 TDs and playoff highlights. Maybe a SB ring or two.
