The 2001 Canes RB’s, TE’s, OL’s & our entire Defense sh*ts on LSU’s 2019 team.

The only debatable position is QB, but literally the rest of the entire roster Miami is better.

I’m the least Homer fan on here & this ain’t even close IMO, LSU 2019 team doesn’t have a single defender that can even compete with Ed Reed, Sean Taylor & Antrel Rolle, not to mention DJ Williams & Jon Vilma.

It’s funny how every year they try to put a team on there they think can be the 2001 team.
How Many of these have they started for clicks.
USC
uF
Bama
LSU
Texas
FSU

All those fan bases just hoping and wishing they would field a team like that. And all their fans always making some bullsht argument on why they’re better.
I can’t believe how big of a thorn in the side of those fan bases we’ve been since 1983. Even if we haven’t done sht in 20 years they still have to try to knock us down.
No wonder they clap back so hard for anything UM related.

It would be a game and I think either team could win it. I'd pick us, but not by a lot. That was some team we had, that's for sure.

I was having a conversation tonight about how god that lsu team was. Offensively that lsu team is a problem for anyone. That team could one day have 2 hof WR and a hof QB. It would be dog fight

Theres nothing to vote, theres just one factual statement and that is that Miamis 2001 team is the best team that has ever existed, both result-wise and talent-wise.

The team had freshman who were good enough to start. The only reason Sean didnt play was because he had Reed ahead of him. The only reason Rolle didnt play was because he had Rumph ahead of him. Gore and McGahee because of Portis. Winslow Jr. because of Shockey. The team was ******* loaded and I am glad that we can go back and rewatch these games.

I dont get why people always have to get in these discussions man. Accept and appreciate greatness when it's in front of your eyes and be humble enough to take notes.

Stop it...."COULD" have 2 HOF WRs....I seriously doubt that...and Burrow ain't going to any HOF....That LSU team almost, and should have lost to an unranked Auburn team (Steele's Defense) that lost 5 games, what would those WRs have done against UMs 2001 secondary??....Jeff Thomas made LSUs DBs look so-so.....Andre and Shockey would have torn their Azzes up....

Seeing this confirms to me how hilarious this topic is everytime someone conjures it up for *insert unfortunate team being put side to side with 2001 Miami*

That LSU team was really just average on defense and that’s the end of the whole story.

They may have scored more points but they were also still going no huddle and throwing it around in the fourth quarter against a lot of teams. Miami could have ran it up against Troy and Temple but they emptied their bench early and milked the clock most of the second half. Miami saved their blowouts for teams that were nationally ranked. Nebraska, FSU, Washington and Syracuse all ended the season ranked in the top 20 and Miami absolutely crushed all of them. Boston College and Virginia Tech were the only close games and both those teams also finished the season in the top 25.

This isn’t even a discussion
