Well in this case your parents smoke meth and burn you with cigarettes all day so leaving might be the right choice.
Sometimes those abusive meth-smoking parents are the best choices.

"Besides the fact that the OP likes the attention of men"....Besides the fact that the OP likes the attention of men, did we really need another thread on this moronic topic?
I wish we could go independent but it was pointed out to me yesterday in here that it isn’t realistic in today’s climate and I unfortunately have to agree so I said we should buy out of the ACC and join the big 12. The ACC didn’t say one thing when the committee screwed us with the eye test and ND bull**** and their refs disproportionately impact us negatively week after week until this past game against Pitt. It’s purgatory to remain.Much more likely we go to B12 than go independent one day. We would need our own TV deal like ND has and the insane buyout money for ACC. But if we could I would love it. We can still play mostly ACC team while integrating traditional OOC rivals too. ND, UF, FSU, Va Tech, Cuse, BC, Pitt, an HBCU, then the last four can be rotations of different opponents yearly. But its all a pipe dream.
No bottom dwellers are willingly leaving the SEC or B1GIt's more likely that teams from the BIG10, SEC, and ACC leave to form their own conference, which is probably the best course. The BIG10 and SEC have a problem with bottom feeder teams that they can't expel. If you formed a new conference from scratch you could optimize the structure to be the most profitable per team. Given everything that's changed in college football, a brand new conference with new rules and structures would have a huge advantage.
That's the real power move to combat all this.
we can’t even fill the stadium when we are ranked on the top 10 but we can fill our own Hurricanes channel. DelusionalACC sucks across the board .... reputation, money, officiating, Tobacco Road mafia, worst commissioner, and no rivalries.
It's time to strike a deal with Netflix or Uncle Jeff for $150M up-front (pay to get out of ACC) and $100M annually.
Have 8 home games every year and essentially create a "Miami Hurricanes Channel". A bunch of special programming, documentaries, Hard Knocks type shows, day in the life, get the Cavender Twins, Alex Earle, etc to create content.
There might be two sports that benefit from being in the ACC - volleyball and basketball.
The only problem I foresee is scheduling.
Does the Orchid Man have TV channelWe need a TV deal.
Brother. Holy ****. I literally had this conversation with my brother last night. I just got goosebumps from this post. Told him exactly this, Miami to become independent and stream on prime like the NFL does or Paramount like the UFC now. Both of the people responsible for that have ties to the UM currently.ACC sucks across the board .... reputation, money, officiating, Tobacco Road mafia, worst commissioner, and no rivalries.

Look how much gets paid for NFL on a per game basis - there has to be a way to make it work.Brother. Holy ****. I literally had this conversation with my brother last night. Miami was the first university to sign a brand deal with Nike. Let’s be the first to make this move.
Univision, Telemundo, Mas TV, TyC Sports I don't give a ****.Does the Orchid Man have TV channel

It's their lifeline. Vandy, Rutgers, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Purdue, etc, couldn't run their current athletic departments without the conference they're in. The fanbases are way too small and they aren't a TV draw.No bottom dwellers are willingly leaving the SEC or B1G
The revenue share for the B1G is about 80-100 million/team/year from the media rights deal. So roughly what the NFL makes/fame from Amazon. I think there’s definitely a way to make it work.Look how much gets paid for NFL on a per game basis - there has to be a way to make it work.
