Correct. However….

He’s usually the first one to report certain scoops because the administration will feed him stories when they are ready to make something official.

That doesn’t necessarily mean he knows information before others, just that the administration views the AP as a trustworthy outlet to parrot their talking points.

Bring in Jurich with Zo as the second in command. Let Jurich groom Zo, and when Jurich retires in 4-6 years, you have a guy ready to take over.

The Columbus High Mafia wants to have its AD in place before the PAC-12 Championship Game. They can’t move on Mario until they have a guy who could work well with him (say, Jurich for example).

They’ll get this done quickly.

Meantime, the Oregon @ Utah game will clear up the Playoffs picture quite nicely.
