A curious part of the messaging has been Highsmith visible on sidelines recently.

Perhaps Columbus Crew gamesmanship.... perhaps "this is our guy accept it, hey rest of the world we know that you know he's comimg here..."

Exactly, and I dont care about who broke the story first, I care about who gives us the most valid and reliable content about it. When you are young, its different, but when you are older, you dont want a Four Loco, you want a nice smooth scotch that you care rely on.

IF you think this then you clearly have not read on his life after he left here.....Dude runs an asset management firm...one worth 40+mil. I think that qualifies. After all, athletics in sports are ASSETS.

One of the candidates, got a Zoom meeting this week, was also the AD when Kiffin was around. Didnt hire him, but got along well with him (which isnt the rule with Kiffin).

A few things...

He works at GAMCO in Palm Beach right? I believe him running it might be a surprise to Gabelli and his daughter. He does though own a sports related media company right?

With that said, it still doesn't mean he can/can't be successful in the Miami AD role. It seems a good bet he would be incredibly passionate about fixing all-things Miami athletics. If he were to be picked, I wouldn't be disappointed I suppose because IF successful, our Canes get a long road ahead with him driving.

Could he and Highsmith truly work together long-term? 😬😬😬😬😬

Maybe Highsmith takes a rehab the program like role similar to Parcells. That might work...

I don't want someone who knows the culture. we need to change the **** culture of the entire place not recreate the 80s. hire a real ******* AD with real ******* experience not a dude who's never done the job. put Zo in some consulting role for all I care but not as AD. plenty of real candidates out there, we don't need to hire Marios best friend
