Tight End Depth is Looking Good

I'm hoping and praying this offense gets spread out a lot more this year with a **** of a lot less multiple TE sets. Herndon is the only TE worth a ****. With as how stacked the WR depth is, there should be a lot of 3 and 4 WR sets. Just hope the OL can hold up without help from TEs.

It is painful watching that slow delivery and looping ball from Evan.

Next year is going to be ridiculous though:

WR -
Richards
Cager
Thomas
Harley
Dallas (barring a position switch)
Mullins
Njoku
Pope
Hightower
Wiggins

Then add in Mallory and Jordan. Good lord.

Don't say that here - there's a faction of people who think the guy's arm strength has improved dramatically. A few months ago I even had someone post HS highlights to prove that he had zip on the ball; although there really wasn't anything there.

Also don't compare Ken Dorsey to Evans in any way... Dorsey was an elite HS QB and we all know what he did here at UM.

Brevin & Mallory is about as good of a HS class as you could ever hope to land, but I wonder if there would be any consideration of taking a JUCO tight end or a grad transfer at TE this next year. Irvin strikes me as a guy that you might not be able to count on, and who knows what we have with Polendey but I'm not expecting greatness there. You really need at least one guy who can put his hand on the ground and block from time to time. Perhaps they convert a DE or OL there instead, but I wonder if it's being discussed at all.

Depends on if they EE or not. If Jordan and Mallory are here for the spring along with Irving and Polendey (and we move away from two TE sets) we should be ok.

Last time I checked, Mallory is an EE, not Jordan.

Another set of videos I can't tell crap from. I couldn't tell if Optimus Prime was throwing the ball.

I remember Dorsey having one of the weakest arms I'd ever seen, but he didn't do anything for us I guess. That's not me advocating Evan, I'm just saying arm strength is only part of the equation.
