Throwing Motion/Releases Lawrence v Perry v Williams

Surely hope Williams is the real deal, but the same hype was being said of Perry a year ago. Let's see how he develops. We were crying for just average QB play this season and the kid couldn't see the field. Probably a reason. Like Lawrence and Fields, he's from Georgia, but a reach to think he's near that caliber.

A 3 star Georgia QB is a 4 star Florida QB. Or something like that. Maybe it's because the RBs and WRs are so good, but QBs in S Fl tend to be overrated (maybe their numbers are misleading).

I think Miami has to go out of state to find a QB. Wasn't Morris the last adequate qb from Florida that we've had? Was he a 3 or 4 star? I think he is still on an NFL roster so he had some arm talent.

Respectfully disagree. I dont think Ive seen a singke play where Perry has the same quick release or.velocity on his throws ar Lawrence.

Pocket presence debatable as it is much easier to look good behind Clemson's OL than Miami's OL.

Well his arm isn't as strong as Sunshine's but you'd be crazy to say you never seen n'kosi throw with some zip (velocity). And yes you are correct the throwing montions aren't the same but it even still n'kosi doesn't have the slowest release either. His problem is he's playing checkers still and we in a game of chest.

N"kosi is fine -- below the neck

Watching last night's #BamaBeatDown, it was apparant that Lawrence has a Manning-esque pocket presence, release timing, and ball velocity. At the level he displayed, I believe an athlete is basically "born with it". These capabilities prevented at least five sacks and enabled five-six completions (by my count). Granted, a few completions were pure low percentage luck plays that went Clemson's way, but Lawrence definitely got the ball out and through tight windows that proved to be a deciding factor in keeping drives alive.

Perry has none of the above and likely never will AS COMPARED TO Lawrence.

My question: How does William's pocket presence, release, and velocity compare?

Comparisons with Manning are ridiculous. For one, TL has a better arm. But that's not the point. Jeff George had a fantastic arm. Manning was not Manning because of his physical tools, but because of his command of the offense (and, the opposing defense). We have zero basis of evaluating TL in this regard. Was he changing plays at the line or something?

Do people even watch football?

Lawrence is on a different level than everybody else.to play like that as a true freshmen is just unheard of.some of my friends said an NFL that needs a qb should get support players these next two drafts then tank the next season to make sure you get him.he's a one in a lifetime type player.

As good as Lawrence played, he absolutely benefited from every single low percentage pass going his way. His WRs made several circus catches that werent even close to the targeted placement.

Now, how much better will he get with age?

Time will tell.

Only difference between Perry and pretty boi Sunshine is football iq. Perry has done all those things you mentioned Sunshine can do. Just not even close to as consistent as Sunshine. Consistently good is what makes a player great and that's it really.

Not even that tbh..that was the best game Lawrence played all year, additionally, his WRs made some very impressive and off balance catches. I would say he has more focus and patience than Perry if anything.
