1) Mensah stats are beyond ridiculous. Hoping his ‘injury’ is something he’s fine by mid week. Play him 1.5 quarters and get out against Central Michigan
2) Enough with Pringle. 2.7 yards per carry. Give those carries elsewhere.
3) We really need Cooper to step up. Mali looks ridiculous but we need someone else to emerge. He has as many catches as our next 4 Pass catchers combined.
4) JJ Dunnigan leads the team in tackles. Who had that on their bingo card through 3 games.
5) Get Pringle off KR - he’s useless back there right now. He pauses each return and then thinks he can get through but we need someone else back there.
Jordan Lyle has an opportunity this week to redeem his career. Pringle isn't a starting caliber RB - use him situational - and with Brown out Lyle has a shot at carries.
If we can Lyle going, we can save Fletcher from getting hit too much

I’d give Lyle and Mallory 25 carries total between the 2. Don’t play Fletch a second. Sit Mali. Mensah only to make sure we are OK early the get him the **** out.

Imo next week:
- mensah in to get 21-0 lead and then go with nickle rest of game
- rest fletch (pringle/mallory/lyle get the rock)
- rest mali (heavy coop, upshaw, moore, wingo)
- try a new OL order
- move speed to LB
- rest moten and maybe poyser
Pringle is going to struggle with his run style behind this putrid interior. Guys like Fletcher, Marty, etc are getting hit before Los on nearly every down but are strong enough to play through yards after contact. That’s not pringles game.
Love the play call early last night to get him the ball in space
But I agree, Pringle offers something different and it's worth using. Same with Lofton - get him in the flats and in space. Not sure why we try to get him up the sideline against a DB; he's not fast enough nor quick enough to create separation. Now, Lofton on a wheel against a LB I'm here for it, but we have yet to create that mismatch.
Dawson needs to do a better job of creating mismatches so we can use the many weapons and their skill sets
This is a problem that he needs to work on. When to dance and when to take the yards. There were a few plays last night where he could have gotten a few extra yards but stopped to dance and got hit.
I also think Dawson is not particularly creative in the run game. It's one of his limitations.
Not at all. Anyone paying attention, and who has non-goldfish-esque-memories which eliminates most of the board, would know that everyone’s ypc were juiced up against famu when Pringle got hurt & didn’t have the opportunity to do so; yet still played thru the injury against Wake.
Still picked a first down on his only catch on the day yet we refuse to utilize him more in the passing game. Unfortunately, no other choice now as he has to be our third down back because Marty went down.
Our run game is lacking in creativity yet no one called for third year players fletcher and brown to be benched when they were struggling and Pringle passed them up last season.
Mallory’s ypc was similar to Pringle’s with three extra carries; and they literally had the same amount of total yards on the day.
LMFAO @ people craving Lyle given what he was last year. We would’ve beat Louisville and SMU if we gave his carries to Pringle. He’s a FAMU, USF, and Ball State —G6 merchant who ran behind MONSTAR offensive lines at STA.
Here’s the best stat on Lyle, he’s had 12 p4 games where he was given at least two carries, and he’s had a 4+ ypc in exactly 2 of those games. Both of the HCs he had those games against are no longer employed at those universities: wake forest and Stanford. Wake forest’s dc from the time is now the dc at Marshall, known for spectacular defenses ofc.
Stanford’s DC is now an outside linebackers coach for the bills, a smaller responsibility than a decade ago when he was the Bills lbs coach. Combined records of those teams were 7-17.
I don’t like Pringle as a KR guy tho. Would prefer to see Spafford and Jacobs back there. Would also want to avoid Mali on PR and would like Coop there.
