I missed the percentage chance that we will get Butch Davis.

I missed the percentage chance that we will get Butch Davis.
Odds are GREAT we drop 2 games to GT, UNC, Pitt and UVA, guaranteed we lose at leadt one. Free Shoes and VT are stone cold lock blowouts.
6-6, 7-5 on the upside. 5-7 very real
Nick Saban was an also-ran at MSU with a 34-24-1 record.
He went 6-5(1), 6-6, 7-5 and 6-6 in his first four years. He didn't get a 9 win season until his fifth year.
Al is 2 years ahead of that pace.
You mean he had to learn as he went along???
You know better than to bring factual information to this site!
Didn't El Foldo "learn" at Temple? This is his 8th or 9th year as a HC isn't it? We shouldn't be paying him $2.5M to learn at this point.
So... Head coaches should know it all by the time they get there? They should never stop evolving or learning. Listen I get it, If we don't have any shred of improvement this year I would like a new HC too... but didn't everyone say Golden was having major problems recruiting S. Fla kids. He has "learned" since then.... we are now locking down the S. Fla kids once again.
Prime example is back to Saban since everyone clamors over him....
Saban's 3rd stop as HC was at LSU and yes while he won a championship there it didn't happen until year 4....
1st Year- 8-4 including losing to UAB
2nd year- 10-3 much improved
3rd year- 8-5 so he regresses
4th year- 13-1 Nat Title
5th year- 9-3 leaves for Miami Dolphins
So it wasn't like Saban just magically became an awesome coach. The guy had some serious growing pains to go through
So you think there is a 30% chance we win a national championship in the next 4 years?
