The ACC announced Wednesday the full lineup of players and coaches attending the 2026 ACC Media Days in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The event is set for a three-day event July 15-17 at the Hilton Hotel in Uptown Charlotte. Miami will talk on day one on July 15th.

For Miami, head coach Mario Cristobal is set to bring three players to represent the Hurricanes: running back Mark Fletcher, quarterback Darian Mensah, and linebacker Mohamed Toure.

Talking season is right around the corner. Who is ready?

 

Mensah is a bit of an odd choice.

The guy you want to be in New York in December is an odd choice?

 

It seems Miami made these decisions based on leadership. Fletcher is heads and shoulders above everyone in the locker room he's a no brainer in any category. Mensah as the QB is the offensive leader and Toure as the MLB is the defensive leader, that's all fine but I would have used loyalty and commitment as my standard. So Fletcher is still in but I would have had Samson and Moten instead. All three guys took a chance coming here, Fletcher and Moten could have left and be in the NFL right now and Samson a five star could have left years ago but choose to stick it out and work and now he may be the best o lineman we have this year. To me these qualities stand heads and shoulder above traditional leadership roles especially in the one and done era... But hey what do I know.

 

The QB always goes. The media wants to speak to the QB. It’s that simple. Questioning it is just plain silly.

I wonder if the thought process is to send the guys who we know are on their last possible year. Baby Jesus has to play at least one more year so maybe they're reserving his spot for next year.

I dont think so. Mensah is a great choice. It shows that UM is quarterback factory sending three qb to the ACC media is good pub and shows we send out elite qb talent to represent UM.

Mali is being well taken care of at UM. This representation for UM at ACC media day hurts nobody and mali still has another yr at UM to attend.

Cam ward was on his 3rd school too and hadn’t played a down yet. Beck went last year

 

Mensah is an obvious choice. Starting QB of pre-season conference and national contender. Following two successful portal transfers. Plus the story of transferring from Duke.

Toure, I don’t know. I’m note sure we have a face of the defense, like we had with Bain and Messidor. You could pick anyone, so might as well bring a leader on the field.

Fletcher is a no-brainer.

Malachi - mature and totally could do it and I am purely guessing here but I think it's a pretty educated guess - these media days are days after the launch of the EA game that he's on the cover of and I bet you he has a **** load of media commitments around it.

People forget Malachi hasn't even started his sophomore year yet. Don't most teams send their Juniors/Seniors to these events? Toney will be there next year. Only on CanesInsight will you find people complaining about this
