Thoughts on the CFB 27 trailer?

I have the beta, but it doesnt show real players names. All generic players. I see screenshots online with players names. What am I doing wrong?
 
The NIL piece will make or break this game. People will either love it or hate it. I typically sell last years game towards credit for the new years game but I’ll hold on to mine this time around as I may be playing 2026 and waiting for 2028 to drop lol

Yeah for people that like grinding small school rebuilds it’s not going to take 5 seasons to do it.

I like a more in depth dynasty mode but it may make it a nightmare for connected dynasty.

Last year TrumpyCane did a FIU team and was getting 4* and 5* by the third year in HS

Was able to get 10 4* to transfer 1st off season

Going to be way more realistic this year

Did they fix the face mask and the tiny *** helmets? And is it on PC yet, thats all I need to know if not hard pass for the second straight year for me

I played the beta. Dynasty is a little deeper, coaching carousel is a lot better, more position archetypes seem useable, Adding Dynasty Points which is basically the school budget adds a nice addition but it isn't groundbreaking. Gameplay seems better. All the different defensive playbooks is exciting.

College Hoops 2K8 had wildly tedious recruiting. You recruited players internationally, from freshmen to senior year. Not as difficult when you're Duke, but if you're Campbell or Maryland-Eastern Shore, you enjoyed the ride of just getting to the Dance. You weren't meant to stay at the 1-star prestige school. You were meant to elevate your coaching career.

CFB2K getting away from "easy rebuilds" in Dynasty is good and I think that little NIL adjustment is going to be helpful keeping things a little more realistic. But definitely on high alert for it breaking things for the first year. It looks like just a little numerical incentive to get a player more interested in you and help accelerate some of the points you'll be using (everything else is very similar to 26 outside of the NIL allotment).

In 26, if you are behind on a player and the other school was - for example - a stronger pipeline...you're toast unless you get lucky with a visit. This seems like a way to get more involved with those recruits you were otherwise out on if you give them more incentive. Easier and more fun when you're Ohio State. If you're at UTEP, this new system seems harder and less fun and you might just be picking up the sticks to play games while waiting for the portal (like these teams are doing now, if its in the game!)

(2K is developing College Hoops 2K28!, btw, can't wait!)

idk about yall, but in this house Coach Lou is the greatest coach in the history of the Miami program.

Which I personally love I can see how it’s not really going to be for everyone. One thing I would love is to change or upgrade stadiums. It feels weird being a powerhouse with Delaware or kennessw st playing in front of 10k people.

I think it may have to do with the licensing agreements with the stadiums, which makes no sense because you can change them in madden.
 
I played the Beta as Cincinnati.

I was able to land a few top 50 players and some five stars year 1.

Not sure if the real version of the game will fix it, but their were a lot of recruits that didnt receive offers. So If you max out the NIL offer to them, they are yours with no competition.

The curveball I ran into, was the NIL budget doesnt reset yearly. So I blew most of my NIL with my first recruiting class. At thay point, it gets shifted to roster retention. So my next recruiting cycles didnt have much NIL to work with.

That will be interesting, its like a 4 year budgeting practice. Will be hard for so.e to hold back on splurging year 1 I imagine.
 
Watching the gameplay the helmet tilt doesn't look to be there only with certain helmets, looks awful still but thankful the modders will fix it.

College Hoops 2k8 is forever GOATED and was definitely ahead of its time. I went through 4 PS3 systems just to keep playing this game. Good to know 2k releasing early next year.
