Deadly accurate? He misses open passes every game. Statistically he is accurate, but deadly accurate is a serious stretch.
I am first and foremost a fan of BK. When he announced his commitment to the U, I was estatic. His HS tape is sick, he performed really well in all the camps and to me was a real steal at the QB position. He came in late and still won the job which is a testiment to his abilities and also a lack of competition at the position. As I have watch his maturation through the season, I am starting to realize a real weaknesses that are giving me pause about his overall game.
1. His accuracy on deep balls is shaky and inconsistant. He has made some beautiful throws under duress and has made some poorous throws with no pressure. The missed throw on the potential Coley TD is the most blatant example but there were other misses Saturday that could not be contributed to pressure. He has also missed Dorsett, Walford and Berrios countless times this season as well so familarity is no excuse.
2. His pocket presence is atrocious. He almost never moves once he is set. There is no internal clock in his head that tells him to move up in the pocket or run. The sack in which he almost got killed due to Sonny's inadequacies at Ol could have been avoided if he just realized who was blocking for him on the right side and just cheated up. Sonny got burnt on the outside and tried to ride his man out. Unfortunately it was right into an unsuspecting BK who had no idea what was coming.
3. He throws a nice ball but his delivery is slow which in combination with poor pocket presence and lack of athletism is a big problem. If you ever notice when he gets pressured he still throws with the same motion. He doesn't shorten it up ala a Jameis Winston who is concerned with getting it out and avoiding sacks. Now I know Jameis is Jameis but there has to be a sense of urgency there.
4. He is slow on his progressions. This is absolutely understandable and is easiliy cured with continued experience and a full offseason.
5. This all equates to him needed time to pick teams apart. This means we need to be able to establish the run and hold blocks upfront. Our OL is solid in light of all the injuries but is suseptable to teams that are intent on blitzing. If you watch the UVA game, early on there was no pressure and BK hurt them. When UVA switched it up, and added pressure it changed the game and all of the above factors came in to play.
The bottomline is right now BK is a liability back there if teams decide to pressure him. Teams do not go all out when there is an ability by the QB to get rid of the ball quickly or run effectively. That is a lot of pressure to put on an OL that has little or no depth and starting rookies. BK has work to do if he is gonna be the QB we a believe he can be
This! OP is retarded...Tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but stopped reading at "His pocket presence is atrocious."
Some of you dudes are over-reacting like somebody said something about your mama. Its a fairly accurate assessment. Never run from the truth.
So, to wrap this up, you think he looks more like a 19 year old quarterback than Tom Brady? We ****ed.

No op is not retarded. It's an accurate write up. Brad needs to develop his mind in the coming years because right now he looks like Ryan Tannehill. Obviously him being a freshman, he gets a pass but Jameis Winston and even Rakeem Cato have the mind of extremely smart and crafty QB's. As of now Brad only shows that he has an above average arm.
I would also like for him to learn to throw with more zip. A lot of his balls resemble Jacory Harris's no zip passes
And to those saying top in the ACC, the ACC is not a QB conference by any stretch, it's barely an elite conference
