My buddy and I had great seats for the Cincy game and got a close up view of all of the players on both sides. We looked like an SEC team compared to Cincy! We were surrounded by Bearcat fans and before the game started they kept going on and on about how big and athletic we looked and that they hoped Cincy would be able to stay in the game somehow. Then the game started and well....you know the rest. I, like most of you, lost my mind at the end of last year and wanted Golden fired. As the offseason wore on I tried to get back on board and hoped the staff would turn us around. After Thursday night, I am convinced that there is no hope until we get new coaches. I hope they are able to bring in a proven winner this time a we cannot afford to take a chance on another inexpensive coordinator who MIGHT end up being a great head coach. My vote would be to bring Butch back as he made us into a juggernaut and had North Carolina heading to the top of the ACC before the academic scandal broke (he was cleared of having any involvement). He would bring a level of excitement to the program and I think most of our 2016 recruits would stick. ****, we might even pick up some more as Butch is a legendary coach in South Florida.

But, But, But no one else has touched Butch in five years...The stink comes from the fact he was at the helm when the UNC ship went down..Think he's very comfortable as a 63 year old ESPN commentator .

Can't understand why people "got back on board".

I mean if we win another game this year, will you once again get back on board? Makes no sense.

I was at the game....on the 50, row 10 and I wasn't overly impressed with our team physically, I **** sure didn't think we looked like those beastly SEC goon squads. What I really noticed was our player's god awful body language and what seemed to be a general lack of interest and intensity. They looked downright disinterested, some looked like they'd have rather been at a Klan rally. They look and play in the most docile manner, which I feel is direct indictment on Golden and co.

He would jump at the chance to be the next head coach at Miami again. He is practically lobbying for the job. He isn't nearly that comfortable at ESPN. You must not have been paying attention over the past couple of years.

i think our strength and conditioning program sucks and not because of sway. golden puts and big emphasis on upper body strength and getting "bigger and stronger" but not really on core muscles for explosion and drive. hence why our guys are always falling over, getting pushed back, and look outmuscled easily yet they have the most reps of 225 in the combine.

Butch would jump at ANY JOB - OK maybe not the FIU job but come on

Tams body language is reflective of the HC and staff.

Our staff has no swagger, no confidence, no intensity ... And our team is the same.

And if the quotes about players not being bothered by the loss are accurate, that's further indictment of the staff. And is completely consistent with the body language they display.

reminds me of when people use to complain about the lack of emotion from Randy. I'm betting many would be excited to have that right now if they knew what the future with Golden held.

what evidence do you have that he has been getting turned down. He may have not even looked. It's very possible he has been waiting for this Miami job to open up and probably expected each of the last couple years. 2 years ago was Golden trying to dip for PSU. Last year Golden should have been fired. This will make year 3 of Butch waiting for this job when he expected it to open a couple years ago.
