Thomas has been moved to Z

we have 5 wr that can go deep at anytime... No way VT can play man coverage all game..

Really? I count 2-3, max.

Ahmmon, Berrios, Thomas, and Harley easily.

Berrios is not a field stretcher. Harley can be but has not shown it (yet).

His best 40 time was in the 4.4's. He can be a field stretcher too.

Yea dorsett best was a 4.1

My eyes and his play say otherwise
I don’t think he’s a consistent deep threat but you can’t deny he’s had some big plays deep last couple games. One he wasn’t able to dive for and the one last week he did get

No doubt he’s made some plays this year, my good friend. Just can’t take that leap to call him a deep threat. Whatever, splitting hairs.
Totally agree, splitting hairs. He’s not a burner but he’s a good route runner that can get separation.

Either way, there’s no doubt we’ve got plenty of firepower to beat Bud Foster. Question is, do we execute? Can’t wait.

Berrios has definitely proven that he can play wherever needed, but his speed is the difference between a first down and a touchdown. On th play where he made a diving catch, if he were a 1/4 step faster, he's still running and doesn't need to dive. Not being critical at all, just pointing out that, though he can stretch the field, his speed doesn't seem to make him the "homerun" threat that Thomas is.

i thought the ball could have been thrown better... he had his guy beat..

Is this a permanent move? With Brax graduating next year I imagined JT4 would be the heir to the Y position.

Richt mentioned that they didn't want to overwhelm a true freshman and were hesitant about the move to Z. If he gains more experience I don't see why he can't be moved around.

I like Harley inside more than outside even though he supposedly flashed great ball skills in practice. There's also Mark Pope, who could be dynamite in the slot. Finally, Thomas can and should be moved around a bit (depending on what he can grasp).

Really doesn't matter where he's lined up.
Just need him to get the ball in space

You're probably right. I think Rosier threw the same ball to Berrios that he did to Thomas on his TD catch. The difference was Thomas' speed. As a QB, you have to make that adjustment.

Berrios had to dive for that long pass. Has nothing to do with his speed; it was a bad throw. If the throw was good he scores a long TD on that play.

What I feel the d line gets home a lot because of the o line not blocking that well?

Even our best OLs in the past had difficulty with Bud Foster's D.
My fear is that all the speed at WR won't help if the QB can't get a pass off in time.
This game rests on the OL and Rozier.
