I’m all for bravedo, but this staff just comes across as clueless. All this tough talk as if things aren’t falling apart around them becuase of their failed philosophies and their lack of desire to change them.

You notice that Dabo Sweeney,Nick Saban and Urban Meyer aren’t talking about “only wanting kids who want to be there.”

Shoot Nick Bosa quit on OSU a few weeks into the season did Urban bash him? No he said ok and moved. I feel like Thomas Brown would say something like “if you chose riches over playing with your brothers we don’t want you here.”

They want to live off of the Miami name without having to put the work in , without realizing that this hasn’t been “Miami” for almost 20 years now, that the majority of these kids weren’t even born the last time we won a title , let alone remember it . The only team that can talk like this is Bama. We the only **** team with coaches and even players talking about recruits not being true Canes.

Yeah, the purity thing is terrible strategy. Most of the time players come to love a school and program gradually through the time they put into it and the relationships they build and the wins they earn. We're going to have to go after a coach who can coach above the talent level and impress with his competence - that will create a real foundation for better recruiting. Wins are the ultimate buzz. We sort of had it for a while last year, but it collapsed because it wasn't real in a sustainable way. Most elite HS players know when you're selling them something false, and if they don't, rival coaches will get it across to them.
