Thomas Brown quote today

There’s a big difference between “not sugarcoating” and empty rhetoric and false bravado.

If this dude only is equipped to sign guys who already want to come to UM, then why are we paying him $600k and calling him an OC. If he doesn’t call plays and isn’t capable or willing to sell kids on coming to UM unless they already wanted to come here, then where’s his value?

He’s mastered the gruff tough talking bullshyt, but that’s it. It’s empty rhetoric especially when you publicly trash players to keep heat off the coaches.

This. RBC is often one of the better recruiters on most teams. Instead, ours has a terrible approach to recruits. His philosophy can work when you're constantly winning or you have a genuine culture or join us or lose to us. We have neither. So, the philosophy comes off as super ineffective.

BRO, ONLY WAY WE'RE COMING BACK IS WITH A REAL COACH.

Just stop dude. You have yet to type one syllable in any of your posts that I agree with.

So who u want to hire to come here??? That's a real coach that you getting with this CHEAP @ss administration that cant even get their own on campus stadium!

I'll put it to you this way. I'm so desperate to get rid of dementia-ridden Mork that I'll take a temporary promotion to HC for Manny with a bad *** OC hiring.

The old man is a cancer. He's our Bobby Bowden. Longer he stays more damage he'll do to this program.

Why when you can have many an OC, and Richt. Say what u want but Richt is good for fundraising etc. Program needed someone to come in get facilities back in order etc. Even UGA fans will tell u he will stack talent at skill positions.

If Brown spent half as much time on ball as he does on bible, maybe he'd have a running back in this class.

And … just be cause I’ll continue to repeat it doesn’t mean you’ll ever get it. I’ve come to terms with that, too.

What you’re missing is that there were PLENTY of old Canes whose names most will never know who could’ve started somewhere else if they weren’t always looking at the side of Taylor (it’s Sean, by the way … smh), Sapp, Irvin, and tons of other legends. Michael Irvin told the story of a teammate who was consistently his toughest rep … and the guy was no legend or even NFL draft choice. Had Dwayne Johnson played at OSU he might have had a completely different life.

If you really believe that Cam, Lo, Will, Quez, Jarren et.al wouldn’t find the field at another school as freshman then you give way too much credit to the staff - which is apparent because you want to push this narrative that worked so well on Scooby Doo, “… it would’ve worked if only for those #%@$ kids”.

If those kids go to Alabama, UGA, Clemson they all not gonna play that is BS.

I know it's Sean and I don't need to defend my auto correct. I never mentioned the staff because they suck and should all be fired, in my opinion. My point is the blame is 50/50. My view is simple. If you want to put on for that U. Bust your *** at all costs despite what the sorry coaches bring to the table.
We use to call it heart. How about the proverbial chip on your shoulder? Pride, etc...

Im not going to watch your video (no time for that), but if you believe it’s 50/50 please don’t go into coaching and if you are a coach quit. 50/50? Wow.

That's all you got? Plus the video's 5 seconds.

Richt is garbage, at everything. He was just a name that underachieved at a school with more resources. His recruiting also sucks, our 19 class is setting up to be a disaster.

I want no part of Richt. The sooner he's gone the better for the program.

A Pirate would always be looking for the best hungry fighters to replace the scalawags.

Some of yall just want to play freshman just to play them. UGA is playing Tyson Campbell just to say they are playing a freshman he has been awful. If u think I'm lying type Tyson Campbell in the twitter search bar.
**** they trashed Campbell on Twitter lol.

This is great, unfortunately more and more elite players want not part of Miami. That number will only continue to grow as we become more and more irrelevant.
We are irrelevant, u know how in NCAA football u had a schools prestige and it maxed out at 6 stars? I used to think back in the day that cant change, **** I was wrong we are a 4 star football school now and maybe have to much work to do to get back to being a power. Might be too late unless they make a slam dunk hire and I dont know who da fuq that is. Dont trust the hire ups to make such a hire because they want the image of the school to be clean and thats there number one priority above all. Until that changes prayers sent.

Any hire would serve us better than Richt and his crew. Personally I’d like to see what Butch would do and you know he still yearns to come back and finish the job he started. If we can’t get him then make a run at Campbell, Norvell, or Another mid tier up and coming HC. Couple him with a Yost or another upcoming OC/QB coach and try and keep Manny although I know you’re not high on him mate. I bet you stacks that group could squeeze out 10-11 wins out of this year’s squad, including the injuries we’ve experienced. That is what has the fan base up in arms...that if we had competent coaches across the offense and special teams that we might have only lost to LSU, and that would be debatable.

Hearing the coaches blame it all on the kids just proves that their coaching (or lack there of) and message isn’t getting through to the players. And who could blame them really? They all know that we have talent across the offense sans the OL (probably still could put together a decent OL with some of our RS frosh and sophomores), and that’s what is frustrating the **** out of them. So take your we don’t want anyone but those that love the U message Mr Brown and shove it. All you’re really saying is we can’t coach, recruit, nor develop players but it’s all because you don’t live the U.

Agreed. And I wasn’t implying that. But just like at Miami you have talented kids at Alabama, Clemson and UGA watching who would be on their way to first round consideration had they gone to other schools where they don’t have to sit or can be utilized better.

Steve Ishmael, Syracuse, a S FL kid, last year that caught **** near 105 balls. Their #2 receiver caught 89. Rondale Moore has caught 82 passes and he still has 3 games to go. That’s more than Jeff Thomas, Lawrence Cager and Brevin Jordan combined. When you remove the TEs and RBs from the receptions you get a grand total of … 93 receptions for all of the receivers. But Miami is hockey substituting.

Anthony Schwartz has 16 rushes and 15 receptions. Elijah Moore has 1 rush and 28 receptions (he would be 3rd at Miami … well, no he wouldn’t because Miami didn’t want him and even if they did he wouldn’t be allowed to catch passes until he served his time as a blocker.).

Do you not see the absurdity. Miami’s Offense combined with the substitution pattern means no one gets fed.

Kids want to play for Miami. He doesn’t understand kids don’t want to play for him and CMR in this 1990 Offense. They are part of the “cancer.”
