Thomas Brown Excoriates Offensive Performance vs. UNC

I hope CMR doesn't try to grind out the running game this week. I hope we open things up and pass on 1st down. Work the short passing game, then hit'em with the long ball. Running on 1st and 2nd down and then a pass play on third is the recipe for three and out.

We did not deserve to win that game. Just a horrific effort.

Might have come at a perfect time...

If we're going to run, do so from under center with a fullback or second TE like Richt did at UGA, FSU, and last season.

Brown saw what I saw—we gave minimal effort. Low effort and zero focus. That’s on the players and on Rick for not pushing the right buttons.

Our coaches need to be “bad cop” all week wearing these guys out for lack of effort and focus. We come out breathing fire on Saturday, and we ambush those facquits.

I think the issue has more to do with not havong other options to go to. Richards drops passes whose gonna replace him? Cager?? Malik misses his read, you pull him for who? Sheriffs?? Homer doesnt see the hole, who replaces him? Gray?? So on and so forth on the offense. We just dont have that competition yet on offense as you see on defense. On the bright side, this years class is offense heavy at the skilled positions

Amazing to me that with some of the options we have, our offense is so plain.

If they can’t run the simple stuff how are we expecting them to run anything else. A ton of our issues are execution imo .

Hopefully this week the offensive line shows up and run blocks. But on first down need to see quick short passes to gain a few yards. Hate the 2nd and long. It is hurting the third down conversion pct big time because it leads to too many 3rd and long.

I would like to see a HB draw sprinkled into the gameplan with all the 5 step routes we have been running. Feel like the d-lines we play are starting to pin their ears back.

There’s ALOT of things Richt can do to slow that pass rush down he just doesn’t do it for whatever reason.

Screens, draws, reverses are ALL used AGAINST US.We just don’t use them much in our offense.

Seems like everything we run takes 4-5 seconds to develope and Malik takes a couple looks and he’s off.

A lot of this is on Richt but the players have to execute what he does call.

Seems like we haven't run reverses, draws, misdirections, screens in about 10 years here.

Super vanilla offensive scheme. No motions or misdriections, we aren't to the point where we can over power other teams. What I don't get is Right wanted to call plays and open things up from what he had at Georgia to come here and play conservative just like his recent offenses there were.. makes no sense

There were several screens vs UNC called. CMR has also called draws. No reverses that I can recall.

F*ck Lunch meat Tech!!!!

Seems like the reverses ended when Roscoe Parrish left for the league.

Unless you count the TE-around that Pat Nix used to run ...

Motivation... I love the fact that coach brown is on this staff, he keeps it real at all times. Hopefully this lights a fire under the offense
We called that throwing kids under the bus during the last regime. Maybe these coaches should get the kids to perform and execute.....that's their **** job.

Thomas Brown is useless.

He and Jon Richt need to kick rocks.

Eh, I'm fine with brown coaching running backs. He actually gives the most informative interviews too so that's a plus. What Im not fine with is him getting an oc salary- he should be paid like a position coach with a moderate premium for helping Richt with game planning.

Jon Richt should be an offensive assistant. We all know that. However, someone deserves a SHI$$ TON of credit for turning a jag, transfer candidate who barely watches film into a serviceable starter.

Our qb can barely handle our current offense and you want to add even more crap to it? Say goodbye to our great turnover margin.

I don’t have any problem with Thomas Brown, not sure why you feel like he is underperforming? He has been recruiting really well and really only coaches the RBs. Totally on the get rid of Jon Richt bandwagon though.
