Who will be that forgotten guy who comes out of no where and make some big plays this season?

My picks:
Offense - Michael Irvin II I think he is finally focused
Defense - Derrick Smith I think he wins the backup SS position and makes a few big plays this season

I would love to see guys like become crazy good special team contributors. I miss the days when none starters were doing very good things on special teams.

Offense: Irvin is a good pick, he looked really good in spring. Harley, Wiggins, and Njoku are all on the clock too.

Defense: Hot Take Robert Knowles, only because i want every cane to have a good moment at the end of their career to look back on.
Wiggins is not on the clock. He's only a true soph. Hes got plenty of time. Just needs to get his hands right

I'm sure we all would be happy to see Knowles have a good season.

The Langham Award will go to Irvin. Patchan wins the Trent Harris Award (with McCloud and Bethel honorable mentions). Knowles wins the Chavez Grant Award.

Pat Bethel. Most disrespected and overlooked starter on the team by this board. He's quietly been winning the DL weekly lifting awards and remember he came in as a DE, maybe just needed a couple years to fill into the role.
Bethel looks real good physically. He is a man with a good pedigree. Athletically he doesn't Wow anyone but he does his job and will have a great season I believe

I don’t think the guys y’all are naming are forgotten about except Irvin.

We have to really give credit to what Langham did. He wasn’t a talked about kid when we mentioned WRs or depth for real.

Most of the guys y’all are naming at least flashed some type of ability before. Langham literally was quite for years, played limited snaps and made some tough big time catches when it counted.

Irvin, and maybe some of our backup LBs and secondary cats who we haven’t seen a lot of might take this award and run with it.

Robert Knowles forced a fumble against GT in 2017 and has more career tackles than any DB not named Bandy or Finley. However, he isn't my choice. I got Dee Wiggins.
