This Weekend's Conference Title Games

It's A Wonderful Season Scenario:

#3 Bama beats #1 UGA
#21 Houston beats #4 Cincinnati
#9 Baylor beats #5 Oklahoma State
#13 Iowa beats #2 Michigan

Under the nightmare, the CFP could be:

????

UGA, Bama, Ohio State, and Notre Dame. The way it should be.

Sincerely,

The college football media establishment.

Here's something hilarious. People in the pacific time zone can easily digest reading times from other time zones. People in the eastern time zone struggle with it. I guess you guys arent used to not being the center of the sports universe. hahaha.

I was just breaking balls. I have spent time in California and, after growing up a sports fanatic in Florida and ingesting every frame of every sporting event I could for 30+ years, it was REALLY weird to watch the NFL at 10am. But it was also cool at the same time, the "Sunday night" game is over by the time we went to dinner. I'm sure, like everything else, you get used to it.

I'm expecting UGA to steamroll Alabama this weekend. That said, if Bama wins the SEC stands to gain an additional $15 million in revenue if both Bama and UGA get into the playoff.

This is reason #9724583674 why I prefer the NCAA handle officiating and take it away from conferences.
I hate them both, but I think you are gonna be surprised.

Alabama almost ended the Iron Bowl with 3 points in regulation aganist a 6 win team.

They'll be lucky to score aganist that ridiculous Georgia defense.

Loved watching football when I lived in San Diego. Start a 9am and my day was over 7/8pm then you have the night life.

Not only do you get used to it, I've come to prefer it. Yeah the Monday night football game can be a challenge to catch the first quarter but how often does that game really matter to someone? Once a year at most.

LSU fires Brian Kelly and hires Matt Campbell/Luke Fickell, has to sell the Children's Hospital to China to pay for Kelly's buyout. Kelly gets hired by the now-Chinese owned children's hospital to run the organ harvesting division of the hospital. Kelly signs a contract for a single $1 salary per year, says he's "got all the money he needs and this has always been his dream job".

CFP gets expanded within weeks.
I can actually see this happening.

Really wish I could score some reasonably priced tix to that UGA v Bama game, just not interested in spending $400 on a ticket. Would love to witness UGA finally getting the better of them. Went to the SEC champ game between these two a few years ago, great game, but Bama came back and won.

I would expect to see (in seed order) Alabama (moves up for beating No1), Georgia (drops to 2 for being beat by 3) Notre Dame (rise by virtue of not losing), Baylor (jumps inactive teams with a top 5 win)

I want NO scenario that includes Bama…Tired of seeing them get in no matter what….as to the others I think it comes down to UGA playing the fighting Harbaugh’s in the CG.

Food for thought:

Pitt put both themselves and Wake in the ACC title game by beating Clemson.
Pitt to win the ACC will make the 2021 season feel like a knife wound as we were to be in Charlotte based on what we had returning. The fact that we beat them at their place turns the knife even deeper.

They couldn't block Auburn, I don't see how they can possible block the UGA front 7, UGA 27-14

UGA has played 1 game agaisnt a team with equal talent and they won that game 10-3

Who’s the best QB they have faced all season?

Bama going to stuff the run and have a walk on QB beat them

Agreed! After I moved to the west coast I grew to love watching Bucs games usually at 10a and most Canes games at 9a, 930a, 1230p, or 430p.

In fact, EST night games are a drag, having to wait to late afternoon PST!

Shame that we couldn't put up a fight against Bama. This isn't a vintage Bama team to say the least. The ylost to a 7-5 Texas A&M and nearly lost to three 6-6 teams - UF, LSU, and Auburn. Then again, we have a total moron for a head coach, so it's not shocking.
