This University must make 1 of 2 Decisions

Some of you guys complain about Mario way too much. The absolute worst part of our fan base and it’s been this way for over 20 years is that we still have expectations like it’s 2001. This isn’t anything new. Even with Mark Richt, Manny Diaz, and Al Golden, our fans still expected 2001-level Miami Hurricanes performance.

****, we could be coming off a 5–7 season and our fan base will still do their preseason predictions like this:

Game 1: W (1–0)
Game 2: W (2–0)
Game 3: W (3–0)
Game 4: W (4–0)
Game 5: W (5–0)
Game 6: W (6–0)
Game 7: W (7–0)
Game 8: W (8–0)
Game 9: W (9–0)
Game 10: W (10–0)
Game 11: Toss-up
Game 12: W (11–1 / 12–0)

Best-case scenario: 12–0
Likely scenario: 11–1
Doomsday scenario: 10–2
Fly the Banners: 9-3

Meanwhile we have had like 3 9+ win seasons in 20 years
The elite teams shoot for 12-0 seasons? That's the first step in attaining them..

Hate the ACC & would always be looking for an exit strategy down the road. Wish at times Mario would be more animated, but can’t blame him for officials incompetence. The conference needs to clean up the mess.

If no ACC teams make the playoffs, I would say it’s exactly what this **** conference deserves for allowing referees to constantly ***** Miami. Watch the Utah game for a textbook example of how refs should protect their conference golden goose.

Best chance they ever have of making playoffs is to win ACC which they cant even do. Big 10 and sec would never take them and they could never win those conferences. Being in big 12 would be about the same as being in ACC only more traveling

Do you think the officiating has been up to standards?
What standards?

There has never been a time in college football when the refs have been anything more than what they are.

Blaming losing games on refs is what people do when they refuse to hold Coaches & players accountable.

The refs made us lose vs SMU, but allowed us to beat Notre Dame, the same Notre Dame team that's going to be in the playoffs over us?

Seems like a weird way of doing business.

I'm not blaming the refs for our losses. I'm saying the officiating has gotten worse. I'm of the opinion that refs are using replay as a crutch and are blowing calls at a higher rate than in the past.

Either leave now and join a new conference or go independent.

This sorry micky mouse operation of a conference, can not and must not be taken seriously with refs who look like they are on the job training. This **** is unbearable to watch.

We can’t have a sorry game day softy head coach and refs that continue to clearly show the inability to make correct calls. Since we ain’t getting rid of him.. we gotta leave or, get use to Pop Tart bowls every ******* year
Go independent.

you dont play conservative in Dallas you dont have to worry about refs making a bad call to change the game.

this year is gonna be a lesson on why the mentality of Mario must change this offseason if we ever want to really contend. we make each game closer than it needs to be given the talent disparity.

we all knew going in we can only afford one conference loss as our mulligan. the ND win was good for that.

Have you played at any competitive level? I have personally experienced that…You would know that officiating in a close game can make a difference and cost a team a game.

Today? Have yall watch dude since he took over? We literally wouldn’t be praying for a playoff birth if it wasn’t for his game day decisions. 2 years in a row might I add
We have been at least relevant the past two years due to the fact that Mario is our coach.
We would be so much worse without him.

The biggest problem we have being in this conference are the mindsets of the other teams. Narduzzi summed it up best. They have no ambition beyond going 6-2 in conference play. That statement he made is one of the dumbest things I have ever heard a coach say. And that is also reflected in the ACC leadership. Miami cannot consistently make the playoffs when none of the teams they play late in the season are ranked highly. In this new world, you need a schedule that allows for a top 10 matchup the back half of the season. Miami will never have that.

Honestly, we should pitch to Notre Dame to schedule every year during rivalry week at the end of the season. If we can't get out of this conference that's probably one of the few things we can do to help. I actually think it would be beneficial to Notre Dame as well.

ACC is seen on the same level as the Big XII at this point.

And there isn't much evidence to say its much better. We sent two teams last year and they got the brakes blown off them and it looks like it'll be the same this year when we get some jabroni team into the playoff.

Texas Tech, Utah, BYU, and Arizona State might as well just be Miami, Georgia Tech, Viginia, and Pitt. Big XII are a bunch of 1 loss teams at the top, ACC a bunch of 2 or more loss teams.
