If you follow Twitter, this staff is all over the state and even country. The media they creating on Twitter with the images is serious! All around just great exposure, they working hard, and seem to be giving good impressions.

While I do agree to some extent with Cowboy the change from the last 5 years is at a minimum very fooking refreshing.
 
Richt is heads and shoulders above Al. And although I think Al is worst coach we had since Howard, I do think they played the social media game well. The issue is you can only market your product but for so long before it becomes obvious that its trash. That being said, this isn't new as another poster stated. However, Richt will kill it.

Feel like a lot of people are going to be disappointed if we don't close big when in all reality it's not the staffs fault. May be too late for some of these kids for any staff to come in with a month left and pull big names. Hopefully people realize this and don't start all the *****ing and moaning threads.

Al was insecure amd knew in his heart he couldn't go toe to toe with big boy coaches. And recruits smell fear the way dogs do. He talked himself out of even tryna win for most kids. Das why he chased mid major kids.

I'm curious for comparison sake, can anyone recall where Alf's staff went right after the dead period last year?

Exactly what all staffs do. Nothing surprising to me.
 
Coach richt and the boys are putting in work, i know we wont get everyone this year but they are also laying the ground work for 2017. I truly believe it will pay off

While that is all a fair statement, and I won't personally be holding it against this staff this cycle, other schools with less accomplished staffs have closed plenty strong with only a month and a half. Look at what horse teeth did last year as a recent example.

Whether Richt has as strong a product to sell, and whether the expectation that Miami belongs among the schools with a brand that recruits itself anymore is all that is really up for debate here. A new coach closing strong can, has, and should happen this time.
