This Should Be Our Next Coach

LOLOL in what world are we not a perennial loser? We have been a joke nothing program for over a decade.

You really think we are some magic scheme away from being a championship team? 🤣🤣🤣. This line of thinking is why we have had such terrible hires for years. This misguided idea that we dont need an elite coach to win.

WE ARE A MIDDLE OF the pack program folks. You can downvote neg me all you want. We are what we are dog ****. Enjoying the rest of my Saturday. Hopefully, some of you get to do the same. If they don't care then **** it I don't care either.

Like Lincoln Riley. Some of these young guys are so good at scheming up offense that you give them access to our players, and they’ll name the score.

We need to find the next guy BEFORE he’s a proven commodity. It’s nearly impossible to hire away proven commodities these days. The HCs you can hire away from another program usually have a lot of warts.

Meyer was at Utah, then UF took a chance. If we want to get an unproven guy with potential (and Briles is out), then Utah (State) has the dude who I think is the next Lincoln Riley-ish offensive mind in Yost.

Unfortunately I think we’re stuck with Richt calling plays for at least 3 years. By then, Briles will have a head coaching job and no way he laterals to Miami.

Manny Diaz is an innovator on the defensive side.

I think we need more than an innovator....we need a whole staff full of top level position coaches. Look at the coaching staff Butch put together back in his day.

Our 2001 team received elite coaching at all position groups.

Also, we need a coach who will put a higher priority on special teams. Every great team is good on special teams

Offensive coach with proven track record , including 2 BCS bowl wins: Chris Petersen. Guess how much he makes.
Pipe dream. Zero percent chance. That guy’s not all about money. He turned down several gigantic raises to stay at Boise forever.

For people clamoring for someone with experience, I was pushing for Dan Mullen for years. Our athletic department passed on that guy twice. Our fans didn’t like him because “urhh look at his record vs ranked teams BRO.”

I wanted Leach. “Haha keep that Mickey Mouse offense out of here BRO, Pro Style only. 20 fullbacks and 16 tights, BRO. BRO Style offense.”

Those are guys that were doing more with less and were offensive experts. Most importantly, they always find and develop QBs. You either need a young guy at a small progrum like that who’s punching above his weight ***, or you need to snatch the next Lincoln Riley or Scott Frost before they blow up. Briles is that type of guy. We won’t land a Gundy or Patterson, so those are the two categories we should be looking at: Head coach at smaller program out punching his weight class, or hot shot OC.

If most of you had it your way, Butch Davis’ head would be floating on top of a robot body roaming our sidelines in the year 4,000.

At least his team is improving this year. If KY wins today, they play GA for SEC east championship. Unlike Miami, REGRESSING this year.

That doesn't mean he is a national championship caliber coach. His ceiling is 10 wins a season at best. The Stoop boys don't do well in pressure cooker situations like he would have at Miami.

Plus his contract is ridiculous and not worth buying out.

Whoever disagrees with u, are old af and want Butch Davis as our next head coach.
You will all come rally behind me and endorse this man and we are going to will it into existence after Richt retires following this season.

Coker, Shannon, Golden, Richt — what did they have in common? Not a single guy was regarded as a wizard or genius on one side of the ball. They were all bland, “CEO” types which is a bullshlt slang title for “needs 2 perfect coordinator hires and recruiting to function.”

We are over that.
We need youth.
We need energy.
We need actual football acumen from a preparation and execution standpoint.

This man is an offensive genius. A savant. He has been training in the dark arts of scoreboard explosions since he was a pre-teen. He served as understudy to an elite coach and spent his childhood as his mentee, learning the ins and outs of running a progrum and scoring 70 points a game in your sleep.

Before his father was exiled to Europe, he took a progrum in the middle of nowhere with no history of success and went on a 5 year run that included a Heisman winner.

-This guy has the youth and offensive mastery of a Sean McVay.
-His father passed along a slight win at all costs scum bag mentally of a Meyer or Saban.
- He’s designed and called plays the last few seasons for FAU and Houston, finishing up the top 3 each year.
- He’s got the country twang of most great CFB coaches.
We shouldn’t miss our Lincoln Riley.

Get on board nerds or get left alone and embarrassed.

Kendal Briles Da FCKINNG gawd.

Im with u WTH. I feel that when you combine experience with innovation AND success, you have yourself a good candidate.

We have dug ourselves into such a hole that it will take a real monster epiccoach to bring us back. We are like USC in the 90s. Lost, irrelevent, pathetic.

But he isn't at Boise. So he was willing to jump schools for a big raise. If you mean he won't leave the PNW, then maybe that's true.

Matt Campbell fits in most categories for this program. Experienced and Innovative mind. Pay the man!

Meh I’d take lane kiffin as long as he hires a great dc. Kiffin understands how to recruit at a high level and has a good offensive mind .

hes had multiple opportunities as a head man and hasnt gotten results.

recruiting ability is irrelevent if you cannot win. take a look at our current class for proof.

If we actually get ahead of the curve and fire Richt this year before things really turn into a dumpster fire it'll be the happiest I've been as a cane fan for the last 15 years.

Get real dude! ONE season at Tennessee. USC while on PROBATION . Head coach of the RAIDERS. Nuff said...

Thanks for proving my point. Left everywhere a mess too.

There are probably 25 coaches that are better than him that you could hire.
