Magical wins at ND, UF, FSU, getting into the CFP at the last minute, overcoming 100k at TAMU, beating OSU, exorcising the Fiesta Bowl demons….didnt end how we wanted but it was a season to remember, a season for the ages. How good it is again to devour content on podcasts, to visit and constantly refresh message boards (From Grassy to CiS for me), to txt friends all day everyday, to discuss this team, our team, back among the elite teams of the day.

We waited 2 decades for games and moments like this, and thankfully we won’t have to wait 2 more decades. We are here and we aren’t going back. Mario is building this in a sustainable way. The road is hard and long, but we are on the road, not off on some beaten pathway heading nowhere. Witnessing this renewal was like witnessing the renewals of 1999 and 2000, UCLA, GT, FSU, VT, UF in NOLA…those games made us believe again, 2025/26 made us believe again.

The mountain top awaits. It’s Great to be a Miami Hurricane.

This season was special in so many ways, but most important,y it showed that Miami is a real football program. A lot of demons were exercised this season

Demons exercised
  • Making it to the National Championship for the first time in 23 years
  • Making it to the CFP
  • Winning a playoff game
  • Back to back 10 win seasons
  • Not imploding in November
  • Beating ND, UF, FSU, & Ohio State in the same season
  • Winning the Fiesta Bowl
  • Playing in and winning a major bowl game
 
Yup, it was ticking off a checklist of all the demons of the past 2 decades. Just an amazing ride, and very much like 2000 after we beat UF in the Sugsr Bowl, a desire for the next season to come quickly for another run. We haven’t been able to say that in such a long time.
