Creating off topic thread
The excuses are legion (losing, staffing, facilities, dorms, transition class, bag schools), but meanwhile, Jess Simpson can show up to the same circus 10 months ago with almost zero college coaching resume and sign guys like Harvey, Blissett, and Holley. And we are looking good for JHH. Coach Simpson has been in the FBS college game for a cup of coffee and currently looks like our best recruiter on the defensive side of the ball. That just shouldn't be the case.

I mean how many 5 ⭐ recruits have we signed in the last 10 years on defense? They're getting the 4 ⭐ recruits that we usually do. Yeah we have lost some battles but consistently winning on the field will take care of the off field recruiting. We have 5+ NFL type talented players in our defensive backfield right now, so the talent is there to win.

That is 8 players in the secondary rated 4* or better that rumph/Banda have brought in. Should we count Bubba Bolden? relax, its going to be OK.

I’ll take a wait and see stance with these recruits as the college game is a different animal. Blissett hasn’t played a game so I’m not giving Jess credit for anything. How did Pope do last year?
