This Program Better Turn It Around Quick

If the UM decision makers are serious about turning it around Hire Schiano as head coach and allow him to bring Butch as his assistant head coach/D coordinator. Would create a huge buzz. I would like to think that Butch would agree to come on board under Schiano. Immediate turn around imo.

Unbelievable! Simply UNBELIEVABLE!

A lot of these kids don't know Schiano from shinola.

But ALL of their parents know who Butch Davis is, and what he built.

If the BOT rehired Davis, an iron curtain would rise up along the I-4 Corridor, and UM would once again get the pick of the recruiting classes.

The key with Butch is that stability and growth would once again be brought back to the Gables, as well as butts in seats. He would be a valuable transition to a long term hire (Butch would only stay 3-5 years) but his tenure would restore the program to national relavance. ****, the Canes might even win an NC, given the conference they're in.

Absolutely! After 3-5 years he'd retire to Happy Acres, after having rebuilt the program. Then we'd be attractive to an established successful coach.

It's either BUTCH or some crap hire. No one good is going to want the job.

What's unbelievable about it? I'd love for Butch to be the guy but I don't think Miami wants him back as the head guy. A scenario of Schiano and Butch might be the best option if it allows us to get Butch back in Miami.

I know exactly who Schiano is, he's well connected and deserves a chance. You said it yourself "if the bot rehired Butch" rumors have been out for years that Butch is not welcome back here as head coach. I don't see how a scenario of Schiano and Butch as his assistant and d coordinator is a bad idea. The same iron curtain you wish would happen would rise up.

Florida played like a pack of wild dogs hunting a piece of meat last night. I can't even hate on that. I watched a ton of football yesterday and I don't think Miami could beat anyone ranked in the top 50. We have a 5 win team this year. North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Duke, Florida State and Clemson are losses. The two techs and Virginia are toss up games.

We need to bring in Tom Herman if we are thinking outside the box, or bring back Butch Davis period.

Tom Herman has been a coach for about 4 games

If Schiano or Cristobal is the choice I am done. I can't imagine a worse hire than that...I mean unless they promoted Coley or D'onofrio.

We are about to not have any footing in our own back yard very soon.

-UF is about to take up major real-estate in the State of Miami.

-FSU is already entrenched in the State

-Clemson is starting to take up real-estate on the out-skirts on the State of Miami

-ND is trying to set up little pocket areas around the out skirts of the State of Miami

Pretty soon, if we don't make that change...a change that will lock up the State again, we will fall to oblivion. Our legacy will be just that, a legacy and literally, we'll b turning the hands back of time pre Howard S.

You left out Alabama, OSU and a string of lesser schools like Louisville.

Schiano is a loser who has proven nothing, just like Golden, Randy, and Coker.

I'm so sick of our fanbase and the fans who constantly want to limit the program for absolutely no reason. Why are so many fans desperate to throw out names like Chud, Schiano, or Cristobal? Do you guys realize that we are in the year 2015 and not 2004?

You cannot get any more uninspiring than those three names. Do you want to continue this run of mediocrity? Hire one of those chumps. Do you want greatness again? Start thinking big, despite the fact that it's probably hard for you posters with IQs of 40.

Lville beat us with our own guys.

Extactly man think big i want the BOT to aleast swing for the fences first go after a few big name and see if they want the job but the big names will not open the door to UM Rep's unless they offering 4 million a year then we have to sell them on our program i would go after DAN Mullin.

I did....I was about to edit and put in Bama and OSU. UL is going to have less of a mark due to Strong no longer being there

Thank god the program is done. Now the posers fans who became fans because we were dominant can disappear for a while. Hopefully there will be a lag between us getting good again and them jumping back on the band wagon.

No worries though. UF looks to have turned the corner. I'm sure you can get some nice gator gear to sport around at the mall.

So....what's your point? How many games had jimbo coached as HC?

I feel your pain, man, but Miami is a front running town. I'd rather see a WEZ full of band wagoners than what we've got now.

No reason to debate dudes who think Chud is the ideal candidate, but are griping about the number of games guys have been a HC.

Nobody, outside of Miami message board posters, think Chud should be anything other than an OC.

Miami's luck has run out. The lucky hires are gone. For Miami to have success it has to care about football something it has never done

Point is there are more proven options, so why take a risk.
