this play, right here.. this was worse than D'onfrio...

It was a good play call.

Designed to get a free rusher and hit / sack on the QB. And or force a quick pass.

Which it did.

Gotta tip your cap to the QB for getting the ball out just before the shot lands.

I’d love to know what type of defense all y’all experts would call that works 100% of the time.

OP, this play was bad…. Real bad. But No’Ds goalline D Vs GT was the worst I’ve ever seen. 3rd and Goal Vs. a Paul Johnson coached offense.

it feels like Gattis isnt working to maximize our talent or lack of in some spots.

It feels like Steele is trying to work around our lack of talents and it works for spurts and then rears it’s ugly head.

Gattis seems to point fingers
Steele seems to always accept blame.

If we make one change to the whole system and it’s Gattis and we hit a homerun it will benefit every other aspect.

The honest truth is that Steele has been a disappointment....not saying we should be a top defense but there is no reason we should be giving up the number of big plays we are giving up.

Looks like #8 jumped an in breaking route in his zone and didn’t see 9 slip out of the back field. This is why 8 was running after him. 6 just was really good at seeing the play unfold and did his best to stop it,
Nah 8 was playing off before the snap so he might have had deep third. You can tell he didn’t have flats pre snap. I’ve never seen a corner have hook to curl in zone even in cover 2 or 6. The only 2 spots a corner covers in zone is deep third or flats (not hook to curl where he went) but either way he didn’t play his assignment smh.
