This offense could be really good

Lost in the shuffle of this big win, is the fact we should have put 30 points on one of the best defenses we will face all season. That ND was sound on defense. Nothing was easy. But we found a way to put a lot of points on the board. I like for this offense to get even better with Beck getting more comfortable with his new receivers. We could have another elite offense on our hands if they cook like I think they can. And it all starts with the most dominant OL in the country. Enjoy the ride!

Agreed. My biggest concern going in to the season was not having proven receivers, but it seems clear to me that our WRs are a strength not a weakness. Toney is so much better than I thought he would be it's hard to believe.

We haven't even seen Jojo and Lofton incorporated in the pass game yet. That just even further highlights that we got all of the pieces we need here.

It felt like if we can get some offseason rust knocked off, this offense could move the ball at will just like last year. And I think our WRs this year are actually better than what we had last year. Brown is better than I thought he would be. Our OL might be better than last year.

Seriously, the only thing anyone could complain about is the conservative playcalling and a couple breakdowns on defense, but I'm really optimistic because every issue we saw on Saturday is minor and 100% correctable and we most definitely have all of the horses we need to make a legit run.

Two things to watch for this offense to be really good to great

Bell’s ability to block 1:1 against pass rushers. Very mixed on Sunday. He is not quick footed

Can our TEs hold up in run blocking, especially wham concepts. We love wham more than an 80’s school girl and we got blown tf trying to do it. It is crucial

I'll even put out a controversial take: Beck is as good as Cam Ward if not maybe even better. He has better physical tools, better arm strength, better accuracy, and I think he might be our second #1 overall pick in a row.

Nailed it need someone to step up besides Daniel’s and Toney. As the season progresses I can see jojo and Moore fill the role as they get more experience.

Bell had chip help on toney td and still got beat inside, left leaning in dust.. Beck should get a lot of credit of making it happen anyways..

Not sure if we have elite speed rushers on schedule but yea bell even if he gets help will struggle. Anyone know his pass blocking grade?

I am still in wait and see mode but a few questions were answered. I love our running back room, OL, full trust in Beck he looks in complete control, i feel better about the WR room. I expect more from Lofton. I want to see the offense when teams have more film to prep.

Credit the ND defense for limiting the big plays (though that PI on the last drive would have been a TD for us). But all great offensive teams hit the big play consistently and I believe we have the players to do that.

Agree. Lots of points left on the field. Lots of untapped play makers. Need to be firing on all cylinders come UF.

We'll see. X, George, and Horton were very good/excellent college WRs. This year's group has some guys who could certainly get there, but it's yet to be proven.

Nearly every unsuccessful run against ND was because #9/#87 missed a block. Hopefully they get better quick.

I'm not convinced we have enough at WR to play more 3 WR and less 2 TE.

Sometimes the chip helps the defender. If you watch the play Fletcher blocked him and it pushed him past Bell. Bell needs to under set if he's going to have help.

That first part is a bit crazy, but I actually do think he can also be the top pick, if not top 5 for sure.
