Jimmy Johnson, He's the King!

Some friends of mine, just the other night
Went to hear this cool cat blow
They said he sang so good that the roof fell in
And he didn't even stop the show
They don't remember the place
But they remember the face
And now everybody wanna go, woo!
Top Jimmy cooks
Top Jimmy swings
He's got the look! Woo!
Top Jimmy, he's the king
Jimmy on the television
Famous people on there with him
Jimmy on the news at five!
Jimmy on the radio and even on the video
The baddest cat alive
Drivin' all the women crazy
All they want is Jimmy baby
Love it when he rolls his eyes
Top Jimmy cooks
Top Jimmy swings
He's got the look
Top Jimmy, woo! Shake it, baby
Oh! Juke joint Jimmy is the latest thing
He's got the sound that everybody digs
Yeah, the joint be jumpin' when the band be pumpin'
And you know they play a crazy gig
Well, you ain't been livin' 'til you seen the livin' end
Top Jimmy and his Rhythm Pigs, oh
Top Jimmy cooks
Top Jimmy swings
He's got the look
Top Jimmy, oh, Jimmy
Top Jimmy, go Jimmy
Top Jimmy, aw! He's the king
Oh, Jimmy

I believe Sam was OK with coaches leaving after 4-6 years to take an NFL job because that meant they had great success at UM. It was a different model from the Joe Pa, Bo Schembechler model of one coach for 20 years.
i dont remember why he left or the circumstances of his leaving. i'm sure you do. was it solely his ascension to the patriots job?

I beleive it was the same philosophy as Howard, Jimmy and Dennis. Sam had a chance to “move up”.

And then came Paul Dee and the dark period to follow.

i used to see him [Dee} regularly at the Starbuck's in front of UM (where Krispy Kreme was which was next to D'Pizza (where Moon Thai is today)). i wanted to beat him to a pulp, but i didn't want to risk losing my bar license. i think both he and shalala did secret drag shows together, for different audiences of course
