Exactly. What is that gonna do? If you want a few more yards to get in range, run it. You have two timeouts. You got to pick one or the other in that situation.

Disagree, you 100% go for the win. Beck had a TVD game. This loss is on him. In no world does a qb throwing 4 interceptions not cost you the game, but you 100% go for the win there. That was a short conservative pass and Beck wiffed.

I'm not riding the "this is why they go conservative train." The mistake that Mario made was not call a timeout early enough. 3 timeouts with over 2 minutes and you call your first with about 36 seconds. He should have taken a timeout with about a minute to go and settle Beck down.

Maybe the reason they played like that is because they knew the got damaged goods with Beck. Maybe he was thorough interceptions left and right in camp and they knew this was possible. Cam ward was better than I though lol.

Mario didnt call the timeout with like 65 seconds left (can’t remember the exact play). At that point I knew he was playing for the FG, not the win.
