Look like the old school Miami in powder blue. Maaaann those boys were balling.

Remember when Miami played like this:Extreme Confidence and Passion!

I am starting to hope on this Butch Train. I wish we play with half the passion these guys played with in the video. Butch's know how + Fertile recruiting Ground = Consistent contender.

The degree to which you don't know **** while representing as fact is remarkable.

We all love Butch. It is not happening. He's in the booth now. He's getting paid good money and doesn't have the year round grind. He doesn't have to worry about recruiting, coaching, athletes acting crazy, fans flying banners, etc. Coaches tend to stay in the booth once they get there. Move on.

Even Blandy spanked his boys the last time they met.
Well that just killed my boner a bit. Nonetheless, while I don't view Butch as the panacea that some of our fans fancy him to be, I can guarantee he would have this team a lot more prepared on gameday than the fraud Al Golden.

Agreed. And it's not even debatable. But there are better candidates out there.

Absolutely.

Golden fans like mianjomar have zero life experience, certainly no business experience, and will forever miss opportunities in life because he is limited in vision.

TRock305 can't see the forest for the trees. He's failed so many times, he'll forever feel that if ever bested just once, he has to quit trying any further. He's always waiting for his ship to come in - someday - from somewhere, and can't see the schooner boarding at his feet.

daddacane is impressed with shine and flash, not realizing that the most successful CEO's are team builders, and build great teams wherever they go. He's young, sees no value in consistency, sees no value in experience, sees no value in success after success, and will ever be in the bottom third of whatever endeavor he engages in.

Limited minds with zero logic. This is a common thread in Golden fans. They can't get past the flash, pretty words, and BS slogans.

Kevin has no idea of how to make a deal. No idea of what drives a man. He will forever judge opportunities because of the static image they project, and will underestimate everyone around him from his preconceptions.

These were the Gruden crowd, so unrealistic that they even bought into the Golden wordcraft.

Too bad.

It's far more likely the people that think we'll get Butch is in the Gruden crowd. It's a pipedream that won't happen. Butch is the booth with NCAA baggage. Move on. There are other coaches

I'm all for getting Golden the **** outta here. But I really really feel like Butch ain't the answer. That dude was a god awful game day coach.

Oh, and he got ******* smashed by Randy Shannon. Inexcusable.

I can guarantee he would have this team a lot more prepared on gameday than the fraud Al Golden.

But is that all we're shooting for? We could say that about a lot of coaches. Forget "better than Al Golden". I want the next big hit. And I'm not sure that Butch is it.

I wish we could get JJ back. Proven.

Miami is unique. The local schools are unique. The talent pool here is unique.

I think of it this way. I'm wanting to grow and dominate in my business. Time is limited as time is money, and money is limited.

Now, what qualifications do I want, in order to NOT make a mistake and lose a lot of time and a lot of money.

1. Experience - It may be enticing to take a chance on a young buck, but to minimize risk and maximize results, I am compelled to go with someone who's already done exactly what I want to do.

2. Problem Solver - I want someone who's already been through a sihtstorm, and built the program up even in spite of many, many outside and inside influences - such as scholarship restrictions. How well did he do the last time? How bad were the obstacles he overcame?

3. Talent Evaluator - I must have a proven talent evaluator, as he's going to be putting together the team, and we can't find ourselves three and four years later without the right personnel in the right places. It could be a disaster.

4. Talent Recruiter - I must have a proven talent recruiter. Long hours don't mean siht. Efficiency means everything. It's one thing to know good talent, but be unable to reel it in. Gotta have a great, unbeatable recruiter. Not a good one. A great one.

5. Executive Selector - I have to make certain that they guy I hire knows top executives, and can put together a management team that produces. He must be able to choose great coordinators, and together, they must be able to select great position executives.

6. Confidence - I must have a man who knows - KNOWS - he can build up my business to the very top, as he's already done so. No doubt, no brag, just fact. After all, the entire team must have lots and lots of confidence based on credibility. He will direct the emotion, the values, the tempo, and the direction of the business. So this too, is not something to leave to chance.

So no, I'm not going to hire a "possible." I'm not going to hire an Executive to be my CEO. Can't take the risk. It's money, and you don't throw away your own money on unnecessary risk.

Are there other CEO's I can get? Yes, but none that I can afford, and since I have limited time and money, none I wish to take a chance on.

I have to go with the proven, Sure Thing.

Butch Davis.
