This is the worst loss in school history

Now there have been more painful losses but check this

Bama 1993 was to an undefeated team ranked number 2
Lsu 2005 was to a top 10 team
Uva 2007 was to a 8-2 #19 ranked team and we had 200 yards of offense compared to 170 or so
NC State 2007 was an OT loss by 3
Clemson 2015 was to #6 ranked team
Clemson 2017 was top 5 program

I dare you to change my mind. This was the worst. We lost by 32 to a dog**** Wisconsin team who fielded a back up QB and guys they found in cornfields recruited by the likes of upper peninsula state and Anchorage U. Had Wisconsin not missed 2 gimmie fgs from their kicker who looks like chumlee we would have lost by 38. 32 was Wisconsins biggest margin of victory all year long.

I wouldn't include the OT loss against NCST. Both teams sucked that year. But the rest on your list of SHAME I agree with.
 
Wisky was beaten soundly by Minnesota and Iowa in their last two games, we put 3 points in total, horrendous. I can maybe accept this horrendous loss a bit better if we had tried, but NOT taking all the allowed practices tells me we did NOT try hard enough. In my emotional relationship with Canes football since my first game in 1976 I have an expectation that the team and specially the coaches will try their best. The coaches did not do so yesterday...... IF that time was used for a kick b...t early recruiting signing then maybe I can accept, but even that this year was a subpar effort.
 
Last game in the OB takes that title in my lifetime..and the Ga Tech loss when we was number 3..but there have been some others that deserve consideration..this loss was bad tho

Yeah. And that's why I absolutely believed Miami would defeat Wisconsin. For instance, Minnesota BYTCH SLAPPING Wisconsin on their Senior Day in front of a full capacity horde of red badgers!!!!!!!!!! But I was wrong, again. By the way, Minnesota started a TRUE FRESHMEN in that game. Matter of fact, this true freshmen has started for Minnesota the entire season! And believe it or not. This kid ISN'T a 5-star/4-star Gopher QB.

The bottom line is Miami CAME OUT FLAT and probably just wanted the season to end. Also, NO MOTHER FREAKIN' emotion or energy!
 
In terms of disappointment and sheer offensive ineptitude, the 1994 Fiesta Bowl loss of 29-0 to Arizona comes to mind. I think that might be the best comparison I can think of in terms of how I feel about where we stand.

And, actually, I feel worse now because at least then we finished 9-3, not 7-6, and we lost to a team that finished 10-2, not 8-5.

I'm flabbergasted you didn't include the 97 loss to fsu
 
As you said, there have definitely been more painful losses. But I think its a good arguement that we have never put on a more pathetic performance. All those other losses have been to good to teams.

But he didn't say "most pathetic" he said worst.

No loss was worse than the OSU loss. Nobody cares about this game other than the fans of the teams. The OSU loss sent reverberations through the entire sporting world.
