I know for a fact that e.reed and several others have openly let it be known that they would be interested in coaching at um.

They're several ex players who are offering their services to this university. And truly that's the only way we'll ever stop these kids from leaving.

Sending Ron Dugan In the home of these kids Carol city liberty city and other Miami kids is not working he's not one of us he's a fsu alum HIS HEART AIN'T in this. It's a paycheck for him.

But you bring in Santana moss to help recruit these Miami kids it helps you give ed reed a chance to sit down and talk with these 5 star recruits they'll listen. Send my brother to West Palm belle glade pahokee those kids know him the mom's and dad's went to school and played with us as kids they'll listen.

Why do guys think the kid from pahokee is committed to us??? You thought that was because he loves um?? Lol

It's because we have a family member who coaches on the team and constantly talks to him about Miami. So now the kid is a commit. And he'll stick in the long run.

THESE people don't know who Thomas Brown is but they know Clinton portis.

Randy Shannon can still play the old hey I'm from the neighborhood card and steal TELFORT and others away.
(Couldn't do it while here which is weird) but there needs to be more alumni presence in and around this team.

That's the only way to beat Saban and Fisher consistently for recruits in our back yard. Send hall of fame players into these homes it'll work that's the only way we get back.

Right now we can't win games because our players suck and we can't recruit ballers because we can't win games it's a cycle we'll never get out of without something drastic changing. This class is falling apart.

Definition of insanity gentlemen. That's what we're doing.

We had community coaches and it didn't work

Play the game, play it smart & tight

No. This isn't a celebrity coach show. Why would a bunch of hall of famers want to spend their off time twittering 16 year olds.

The guys that recruited all of the guys you mentioned weren't Miami guys either. Randy Shannon was a Miami guy and his heart wasn't in it. Don't get me wrong, I think it'd be cool as **** for Ed Reed and Dorsey to come back but that's not the answer. Hasn't worked for Richt or Rumph despite being former players

I wouldn't put Dorsey in that same conversation as he's been coaching for a bit and shown results.

Problem is we need to win. We haven't had more than 10 wins in a season in over 10 years. You know who has done that in that time frame? Temple... fiu... and a bunch of others. We have had multiple 9 win seasons but still we need to win period and they will come

So why exactly did Richards come here?

Every recruit is different and what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another.

Start winning, the results will increase. Do you think Jeudy wants to go party in Tuscaloosa or would rather stick around here to do that? Maybe he wants a big college experience. Maybe he wants a large and rabid fanbase. Maybe he wants pretty much a sure thing, winning as long as Saban is there.

Final thing, let them do their thing. There's a long way to go and a lot can happen.

Money talks. ALL of these kids have "advisors" that they trust. Those advisors sway the narrative towards the schools that offer the money.

Every major school is doing anything to get star recruits and uunless we have a dynasty some I kids will leave it is what it is we'll alwayshave oourbvery good shareof sstud's but until we're the most dominant school we'll lose some guys because every school loses recruiting battles

We do too?

Of course, but not on the level as the current big boys are. EVERY major school has a Nevin Shapiro that LOVES their school.
ONLY difference is that we had an idiot that wanted to be known for what he did, while everyone else is in the shadows.

No doubt, thanks man

Only hire ex players for all coaching jobs.....yep...that's one way to go I guess.
But why stop there...re hire Shannon as HC.

FSU is sending an old wrinkly albino from Minnesota and still kicks our *** in recruiting. Recruits don't give a **** about what happened 15 years ago...

I want Miami to have a strong staff of proven coaches like Kool, Diaz and Richt rather than ex players. However I know Ed Reed is an assistant with the Bills. Down the road I would be in favor of him as a coach on staff. Lord knows he would be a killer at recruiting especially DBs.

Oh no, the boogeyman.

You know who needs boosters, the school's trying to catch up. You think the elite coaches who win all the time do? Please.

Every school, even the lower classifications have people giving stuff away for free. You think players pay for much when they go out to a bar? What about driving around in a car that isn't theirs? The big duffle bag of cash though, that's crap fans make up to make themselves sleep at night.

Recruits go one of three ways typically. Most stay in state and close to home. The next big grouping are those who want to go somewhere where they'll win. The last major group is those who believe in a plan a coach has sold them on. There's other reasons, but those are the big three and somewhere way down on the list is getting paid.

The players built this phucking school so sick of you people being disrespectful of the sacrifices they made. IF THEY WANT TO COME BACK AND CONTRIBUTE WHO ARE YOU TO TELL THEM NO????

THIS POS school wouldn't be known without THE FOOTBALL PLAYERS WHO MADE IT FAMOUS.

YOU UNGRATEFUL MF' S DON'T understand.

This is equivalent to saying the people that build iPhones should be the CEO & on the BOD's for Apple.
