This is the kind of quote that makes me think he'll never get it

Manny said that despite the report, he had not fully made up his mind about Enos and wanted to see how this LA Tech game went:

“We still had a chance in the bowl game to see could there be potential for any improvement with the idea of, ‘Hey, this is something that can be turned around and get better’ ... Obviously the way that we performed in the bowl game just showed that was not the case.”

So, my desire for us to rip apart LA Tech, appears to have been ill placed. According to this quote, assuming it's not just coach speak (and I suspect it isn't), if we had ripped apart LA Tech like any team with our talent should have done, Manny would've pulled a Golden, and kept his buddy.

Wow. I mean, since he is coming back for one more season, I foolishly am hoping against hope that just maybe, we can have a positive season in 2020, but reading this quote... just wow....

Stop it. It's coach speak. Enos was dead man walking since the FIU game.

Diaz kept Enos through the bowl game because it gave him this b.s. "might've hung onto him" narrative so he didn't look bad for only keeping him to get him through the early signing period to lock in this offensive class.

There was no way he could've justified firing Enos between the 19th an 27th—which is the only reason he was on the sideline for the garbage *** bowl game and there were literally reports and tweets before kickoff that stated that barring some crazy change of plans, Miami was parting ways with Enos.

Beating Louisiana Tech 34-3 wasn't going to save Enos' job. He has been gone for a month and was only retained because of the early signing period.

Be smarter than this and don't fall for coach speak; this is a PR spin in case there are any ****ed off parents of recruits that liked Enos and would feel duped by his firing.

Well, now that we're bringing Lo in, it's irrelevant.

Manny's brand of defense is only overwhelming when they get TURNOVER'S. Enter the 2017 season. When Manny's type of defense ( High Risk. ) doesn't get those turnover's then this the type of season Cane fan witnesses. The same goes for last season too.
So if this is the low end, its still a power 5 defense no?

Manny was never an elite DC. He was above average and inconsistent. Which is how it’s played out basically. He parlayed a bit of a fluke season into a head coaching job. What are you going to do I guess?
Since at Miami he has been top 25percent on the defensive side

Enos and Diaz were "buddies"? First time I hear this. Anyways, whatever, he's gone. Now people are complaining how it was done. LOL
They sure didn't look like buddies on the sideline the other day. Enos walked up and said something to Manny who never turned his head or even acknowledged him.

If someone was working hard to ruin your career and "dream job" after a while, you'd get salty with your friend as well. Anyway, it's irrelevant now that Lo is coming in to force some decisions with Manny and whoever else is HC for the Canes.

I know. That's why I asked the question. If he kept him on it would not have been due to personal ties with him.

I'm still up in the air with Manny as the Head Coach...but yes, people knew about Enos for a while...I heard it from more than one source...and go back and see when the reports were coming out early in the morning hours before the game

How on earth can anyone be up in the air about Manny? He was hired with the worst resume of all time, and performed exactly as one with his resume would perform.

He’s a god awful joke of a coach, far worse than Shannon or Golden.

He's so lost, a GPS unit wouldn't help him

Golden?!? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Well at least Manny fired his coordinator after he saw how bad he was

Manny says " we have some GOOD offensive assistants on the staff. So all we have to do is get the OC. " Paraphrasing him now.

Right there indicates this dude is OUT OF HIS LEAGUE regarding the HC position! Yikes.

Maybe, but what if the problem was Enos and not the other coaches?

Have you ever worked in a talented team where the immediate boss is a total Penos? I have. Some guys just drag everyone down and make the whole a lot less than the sum of the parts.

That is a PATHETIC mindset.

Thank goodness these individuals weren't calling the shots in WWI or WWII

Do you think he was trying to just speak somewhat professionally considering Enos was fired? Imagine for a moment he was speaking to whomever may be possibly interested in taking the job.
