Look, at the beginning of the season, people were downplaying Richt because he never won a National Title. However, he was 9.2 winning average and consistently bowl eligible. This will likely be the first year he doesn't make a bowl game.

What is it about being in Miami that caused his success to drop? How was he able to recruit in Athens but not Coral Gables? Attract NFL QBs in Athens and not Coral Gables? The problem goes beyond Richt, and we need to address it.

He was fired from UGA because he was washed up and they knew it. The problem does go beyond Richt. Our athletic department is a clusterfuk of epic proportion.

Good luck with this. I laid it all out for them, but they won't listen. While Alabama and Ohio State have 5-6 stupid south Florida players, we have 60 of them. It's not a coincidence that all three P5 schools in Florida are terrible.

Huh.

He was fired from UGA for a reason and apparently some have no clue why.

This is my point. We can fire the guy, but we have a whole lineup of Cokers, Shannons, and Goldens waiting in the wings. The problem in the Athletic Dept. needs to be addressed. At this point, it's not even a Shallala issue. We can't assume people will have more success than their previous programs.

Maybe he wasn't a good coach but just living off talent? If you have 7-5 talent your going 7-5 or worse with Richt as your HC.

Richt was going 9-3/10-3 with future NFL starter (some even pro bowler) all over his roster.

We should of known better. How do you put as many guys in the NFL as Richt did during UGA and accomplished nothing... not even a National championship appearance.

But go ahead and tell me how Richt ALMOST did this or that in 15 years at a school like UGa.

Richt was never the coach some people thought he was. He had a couple nice seasons at Georgia but for the most part, under performed.

There is a reason a lot of us were not excited by his hiring. I never thought he would get us to a national title but thought he would at least keep us in the soft ACC title hunt every year and not have us getting embarrassed by BC, Pitt, Duke and other bottom-feeders.

Might as well have kept Golden and saved the money.

This is a Richt that (who was never that good of a coach to begin with):

1) has begun cognitive decline;
2) doesn't have big boosters buying top talent;
3) has been given free rein by an equally incompetent administration that won't hold him accountable.
