Fckn haters man. Why not spend all of that energy finding ways that they can play instead of sabotaging others. Lord knows them kids want and need to play. If you see how much it is effecting your student athletes why in the holy fck would you want to do that to other young men?

I wouldn't say that they're going against the grain, I actually think they're going with the flow...

A lot of people want Football canceled for the Fall & there were a ton of people that were ready to give the B1G & Pac-12 a standing ovation for prematurely canning the season under the guise of "health & safety".

They made a knee jerk reaction & proliferated it through the media before they made their announcements in hopes that it would catch on like wildfire & everybody else would jump off the boat with them & then when the rest of conferences just decided to stay the course full steam ahead the B1G & Pac were left floating in the water looking lost.

There's still a concerted effort going on by lots of people behind the scenes trying to ensure that there is no college football played & Covid is being used as the reason to mask what their real agenda is.

I'll say it again, we are living in the midst of THE dumbest moment in United States history.

What is their real agenda? Try and bankrupt less financially viable schools and/or programs? That's the only way I see that.
FYI I'm neither for or against it, I got no horse in the race.

Two fold

1) they want more revenue from fans and feel there is a better chance of that happening in the spring. They assumed everyone would join them in postponing but thought wrong. They figure worst case scenario they are exactly where they are now in the spring, best case they have fans.

2) They want to shut down players from pooling together and rising up against the schools. No football means no potential to unionize. They again missed the mark on this

if this was about health why are they allowing the kids to continue to practice and why aren’t they mandating the schools provide health insurance for the players?

this is and will always be about money, revenue from fans and keeping it away from the players.

As time passes, the more half *** this decision by the Pac 12, and the Big Ten seems.

Either there is a sub rosa agenda, or they are just plain idiots.

There was no need to make this decision now.

Especially without collecting all the data, examining all possible viable solutions and/or possible outcomes, and then reevaluating in a few weeks before the season starts. While continuing to practice and prepare.

This is what happens when you rush and do something without totally thinking it through. Which is the last thing I would expect from mature and deliberate adults. Either that, or as others are hypothesizing, there is another agenda at play here.

Coincidentally, you know what a lot of states that comprise the SEC, Big 12, and ACC are? Right to work states... aka no unions. Green states are no unions allowed, grey allows unions. Funny how that looks on conference lines.
