The schedule couldn't set up any better if you created it from scratch with the sole intention of making it as advantageous for Miami as you possibly could.

1 game, then a week off to heal and learn. 3 games, then another week off to get ready for the grind of the ACC schedule.

Then 6 weeks in a row, 4 of them home, 2 away. Your 2 most likely competitors in your division, both at home. 5 straight home games with this 2nd bye week in the middle.

Then another bye 11/9 to gear up for the final push in the last 2 weeks. It's absolutely perfect.

There's literally only 1 real concern here, and it's the UVA game. Miami plays UVA on a Friday night aka a short week, on 10/12, the week after playing VT on the previous Saturday, 10/6. Meanwhile, UVA does not play on 10/6, so they get an extra week to prepare, while Miami has a short week to prepare. Not ideal. The silver lining is both the VT and UVA games are at home. But having a short week to get ready for probably our biggest competition for the division while they're getting a bye before the game sucks. But that's literally the only gripe you can have about the schedule. Other than that, it's absolutely perfect.
