Dawson has called the same run scheme for 3 years now. It’s not getting better or different. Every year, he looks like the Bryles winner for 4-5 games (Texas A&M 2023 was one of the best called games by a Miami OC in 15 years, Florida last year was elite, multiple games this year), and then we do “self scouting” going into ACC play and he forgets how to call a game.

Yea when I was a younger man, I would get all upset. As life carried on, I remembered how I used to be in college when we lost a baseball game…same as if we won. Partying, looking for girls, talking **** with my buddies, and sleeping just fine. We all played hard, but part of sport(and life) is losing. Not the end of the world

We probably won’t. And people will say “We sHoUlD hAVe JUsT weNT UnDEfeATeD”

Instead of recognizing that CFB doesn’t work like that anymore. There is a chance Louisville runs the table here. I don’t think it’s a terrible loss for us by the time we get to the end of the year. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt now,

But now have a vested interest in the teams like ND and USF winning out. And yes, we have every right to ***** about GT and UVA’s schedule.

I know the run scheme has been rough but we also could do worse than Dawson, bad game from him tonight

I’m honestly curious if that’s true though. Like we just witnessed an elite gameplan on the other side of the field against us. Dawson hasn’t shown the ability to call a game like that, where he genuinely sees the weakness in the defense and properly utilizes our personnel with a creative game plan to attack it. May just be the pain of the loss talking, but we just had the lowest point total on that defense of any d1 school this year, and we are light years ahead in talent. I just don’t see it, unless Mario is *that * involved in the offense

I don't care about the ACC title at all anymore. Yeah it'd be nice to win and get that humongous embarrassing monkey off our back but winning the ACC title doesn't give you an automatic bye anymore and now with a loss even if we win out and win the ACC championship game I'm not even sure we'd be a top 4 seed

Don’t forget Cal after the VT game. How often does the team come back down from 35-10 to win?

Mario deserves a lot of credit for getting Cam Ward to turn his back on the NFL and sign with Miami. Ward bet on himself and won. Last year’s team was 9-3. How many games would Miami had won without Cam Ward as the starting quarterback? Who knows who Mario might’ve signed otherwise in the second portal window, but I do know that it would not have been anyone near with Cam Ward’s ability.

Miami wins 6, maybe 7 games last year without Cam Ward.

IMO, Beck shoulder most of the blame. The last Int. All he Hand to do was a pump fake and our guy has clear sailing, as the UL player was jumping that route all the way.
Four Ints are hard to play with and win.
