Seriously, smashing Appy puts the nation on notice for 2 reasons. (1) Tennessee is overrated or (2) Miami is better than Tennessee. IMO, MR is fully aware that if he gives Appy a good ole fashioned country *** whipping the program will receive some serious attention. I don't think this game will be close.

By your logic, and against what many have said here, the fact that App nearly beat Tennessee, and Tennessee curb stomped VT, means that App is better than VT.

People are severely overblowing the amount of notice that will be received by beating a mid major school.

This is a lose lose. We could beat them 100-0 and all that will be said is that we were supposed to.

That's what I hate about this particular game.

We win: "How dare you beat the the mentally challenged inbreds*"
We lose: "HAHA! You got beat the retards*"

Incorrect. Miami is better than FAU and FAMU. That's all you know for a fact. This weekend, you get a taste of a real football team.

Maybe you should find another word to use than retards.

Mark richt gets paid 4 million a year to beat app. That should be all the motivation he needs but I see where you're coming from

No, it isn't a lose-lose. Lets say Miami wins convincingly, in Boone, against a team that should've beat UT, Miami will get the benefit of having won a road game and winning more handily than what UT could do. Lets assume UT runs the table and is sitting at 12-0 and Miami is sitting at 12-0, guess who gets the one seed?

You think App State is relevant enough to be the deciding factor for a playoff seed? Lol

Not that it's going to come down to that anyway but no it would mean nothing. They would say, oh SEC pick them. Instead of realizing that ACC coastal is better than the worst division in P5 football in the SEC east.

I am perfectly fine with your conclusion.

**** right. It is definitely not a lose-lose game. If we give them the *** whooping I think we will give them, we would jump in the polls big time.

Might be the only time in this life I agree with you. Had the UT game not been so close, this would be a lose lose scenario. Since UT played like dog excrement and barely beat App State, a convincing win by UM does look good. ****, even a close win at App State looks better than what UT did at home, and I don't think it'll be close.

It's a lose-lose to fans who think App State would play evenly with the F_U schools. The people uninformed enough to lump a school who only has 2 losing season in 25 years (spare me the division debate) with schools who may have 5 winning seasons in 20 years.

Regardless, for the team, it's good to get to look at an option based attack and play an away game that will be pretty lively before heading into ACC play.

They have to play Alabama this year, in addition to TAMU as their other SEC West match up. Then their normal SEC east line up, Gators being the only reasonable threat, but ya never know. I'd chalk up that Bama game as an instant loss for UT.
