Can’t come up with anything that gives me confidence defensively going into this game. They are going to have a field day rushing. Need to do our absolute best to force them into 3rd and longs where they have to throw the ball.

Going to be a long day in my opinion. Manny has had success against them with elite edge rushers. Now we have none along with a horrendous duo of mike linebackers with zero athleticism. Scary stuff

That's exactly what he's saying. He's obsessing over a loss to FIU 2 years ago. That's not relevant. This team has a legitimate path to the ACC championship game and you wouldn't know it from 90% of the posts here. It's amazingly negative.
 
Them beating us will make their season and get Manny one step closer to the door. Us beating them will only bring more bragging rights and possibly an extension for Manny. In the end don’t expect FSU to come out flat and uninspired. Manny has the worst defensive scheme imaginable so don’t be shocked if NorveLLLLLL looks like Kiffin out there calling plays. Lashlee still reverts back to dumb stuff once teams start to get a beat on him so don’t be shocked if their defense come out looking like the 85 Bears.

No, it's not. Even making the ACCCG doesn't fix the glaring deficiencies. That's what he's pointing out.

Lol. Of course it does. Winning solves everything. It improves the culture, it improves recruiting. Whole point they play is to win the conference. Eventually hopefully they'll be in the national discussion. Until then the goal is to win the conference. It's unlikely. But it's not ridiculously impossible so it's amazing the fan base is so toxic & negative

We won't hear the end of it if we do. Some of these guys are more committed to their choice to hate Manny than to their commitment to the canes.

It's a not-impossible path if the two teams in front of us both get upset over the next three weeks. I actually hope it happens, but it's not like 'we got em right where we want em.' That said,

So everyone's butt boy Mario didn't improve from 9-27 his first three years? Or Mack going a stellar 8-24 his first three years at UNC? I know Beamer improved from 11-21 his first three years at VT because I watched it happen. I can give you examples all day. You need continuity. The other posters are exactly right. There are some high profile jobs available and Miami would end up with the fifth pick. This would be the equivalent of replacing taggart with what's his face.

But again, it's premature. Let's see what happens in the next three games. If he's a decent coach he will have his team ready for Saturday. And then Virginia Tech and Duke. He's coaching for his life admittedly so let's see if he can withstand the pressure.

Can you say you've seen an improvement? How about in recruiting? How about the linebackers?

We're not seeing the signs of improvement. Manny may turn out to be a good coach, but skipping that intermediate step if starting at a P5 has hurt him. The odds of him being a successful coach at Miami are pretty slim.

Changes are necessary further up the food chain and that's more than likely going to happen.

Recruiting seems to be the last thing to complain about. 10th in the Rivals rankings in 2021 and 13th in 2020. And that's not including doing very well with the portal. And those young players look to be almost all hits and no busts so far.

We are going to destroy FSU because Manny knows this is a statement game. Mack Brown cant beat his alma mater, but Manny can.
