I'm hurt
I'm sick
I'm tired

BUT

I don't believe everything is bad.

Going back to the teams of the Shannon era all the way to the Richt, our teams go down 17-3, they fold and it turns into 30-3 real quick.

This team found a way to come back and take the lead late. That is a positive, and a glimpse of what we have.

I believe that we have the pieces, and I can see clear improvement in areas that have sucked for a while now.

I can't excuse the bad play by Baxa, the inconsistency of our defense, and our ability to finish. I can't excuse the blown coverages, the missed tackles, and the drops by guys who should be making catches. I can't excuse the defense looking like they are still in the sandpits on Greentree. I can't excuse our game planning and ability to be prepared for our games.

I can't place this loss on a single person because where we lost was in so many areas. We need to get our speed on defense. I seem to remember when our LBs could beat RBs to the edge. UNC's biggest plays were when our guys bit and fell down. Baker has to adjust to this. Neither Bandy nor Ivey (Not taking away from their talent but) are world class sprinters, he has to give them help over top. Instead of rolling out a LB or Romeo Finley to cover, why not bring in Blades, Williams, or Smith?

I have a lot of feelings running through me right now. I am frustrated, but excited. Jarren, Brevin, KJ, the OL, the RBs all played to Miami standard; besides a few plays we left out there, our offense has improved vastly.

For I don't know how long, I can't remember a time where we played lights out in all phases of the game. Where we have out coached a team.

I want Manny to be the guy, but he's got to have the team prepared. Especially on two weeks of planning.

It's Still All About The U....

Two weeks in a row where the opposing team has presented a win to Manny on a silver platter and two weeks in a row where he has shown he has no clue what he is doing.

How is he going to win tough games when he is losing games like this?

Can't go this far. Players like Baxa, Mallory and the rest of the guys on the field have to make plays.

Blocked PAT, Mallory's dropped e point conversion, another Baxa missed FG. For now that's going to be the difference in a lot of our games. That is the norm in college football everywhere today.

It's not always on the coaches though obviously there is definitely room for improvement.

The offense is fine. Best its looked in years already by game 2. We will learn how to finish as the season continues. It's a shame that Baxxa and the defense is overshadowing what is one the most positive things to happen to Miami in a very long time. It looks like we have a real QB.

But man, ST is going to continue to cost us points this year and OP perfectly summed up the defense. It's not a pretty sight whatsoever and won't be fixed in a couple of weeks.

After the UF game it was impossible to come up with a list of plays that caused the loss, simply because there were too many. Mistakes all over the field. It's frustrating that we're in the same position after the second game. These are unforced errors. We didn't get beat either time; we lost the games all by ourselves. We have the players - and we had the opportunities - to put both UF and UNC away. But players didn't perform and coaches didn't perform in all three phases. I dream of the day when we play a complete game.

The difference is in the coaching. They are learning on the job and it is obvious.

Defense is super soft AF! If we actually played a good QB they would shred this team to pieces! It might be a good thing not to play Clemson because Lawrence would embarrass this program. It would be Al Golden’s last game all over again

I have said it all along. We have to wait until the end of the season to know for sure, but I can promise you this, Last years team would have gave up and lost by at least 20.

Fighting is half the battle. It’s kinda same song and dance since we’ve been through 3 coaches. Players not making plays questionable play calling in key spots.

Last game I’m saying JT4 and Brevin make a game saving catch.

Now this game I’m looking at Mallory on that two point conversion and saying make a great catch.

Our offensive scheme seems sound. Those RPOs we started running in the second half looked a lot like what Bama was running last year.

Defensively we’ve always had concerns about the scheme. And we’ll never get behind the scenes enough to know what really happened on that 4th down call. But needless to say at Lb we are slow and don’t Play sideline to sideline.

I love my man Manny, but the amount of penalties are just ridiculous. For a second straight game, a holding penalty on a Cam run wipes out momentum and large game.

That is on the head coach. Maybe the bye week hurt them but you can’t preach discipline and not have any whatsoever. There is a reason to have at least 1 cup cake game to start off the season.

Only things that saves this season and a recruiting class winning out until the ACCCG and being competitive in that game.

Speaking of penalties, that PI call on Ivey was HORRIBLE.

This. This game was a carbon copy of the UF game.

That's an oversimplifcation in my opinion but we're all entitled to our own views.
We found a way to lose two weeks in a row. We didn’t lose because of a dropped pass or a missed fg. Manny has never done this before. He loss to a far inferior team whose coach handed the win to him - just like last week.

Not being able to set the edge was a far more contributing factor to losing than a missed FG or dropped pass

Mallory is proven pass dropper. Baxa was literally shaking and having a panic attack on the sideline. That’s as much on the coaches as the Mallory and Baxa
