I am laughing at Rece Davis trying to diminish the selection of Miami.

Why not ask the Chairperson these questions weeks ago? They were praying that Miami fell apart , of course.

I really think all the national media speaking up absolutely affected this outcome.

I don’t think he disagreed with Miami being in. It just that the committee’s criteria is so uneven, and it’s even more apparent with our (rightful) move. Also Yurachek didn’t answer any questions straight last week.

That wasn’t my read at all. I think it was the stupidity of the process in not considering head to head until this weekend to arrive at the right conclusion.

It was the gut-wrenching pain they caused on ND unnecessarily.

We should have been ranked above ND several weeks ago when we showed we were back playing like the team we were the first 5 weeks.

Instead the committee kept waiting for us to drop a game or have a close win against an overmatched opponent and instead we kept getting better and better.

At the very least, we should have been ahead of ND last week when we destroyed Pitt on the road in the cold worse than ND did.

I don't care what order they put us in with BYU/Bama but we should have been ahead of ND at that time. At that point our resumes were complete and we had proven that we were the same team, if not better, than the team that beat ND on week 1.

Rece as an AP voter has been more than fair to us. For this poll, he had us 10th and Bama 11th - essentially eliminating his own alma mater.

Besides Joey Galloway and Heather Dinich, ESPN has been in our corner to my complete shock.

He has repeatedly used the phrase "Miami slipped into the field"
He had a follow up segment where he went on about his issue was with the committees process making no sense.

We candidly did slip into the field because of the committee’s process. We shouldn’t have had to. But we did.

He was just trying to understand why he didn't put Miami over ND sooner. He called him out last week too. It really didn't make sense. Should have happened after the Pitt game.

I think the thinking came down to- OMG we have to have Bama in to please our SEC/broadcast masters, and we can't leave the ACC out altogether, and ND was the odd man out.
