Agreed, I actually think he will log the most snaps of any defensive lineman. He is simple too quick for guards and I think his power is going to give tackles nightmares.

I believe we have 4 legitimate starters at DE.

Couple that with 2 top 10 DT's.

Plus the depth we have behind all 4 DLine spots isn't matched by any other team in the country, except maybe Oklahoma.

The DLine is the strongest collective unit on the team. WR corps is right there too, but the DL is STACKED.

Hopefully Stancil can provide the depth but you are referencing the 5th DT spot. That is a pretty good worry to have. We used to worry about the 2nd DT.

While we will miss Bain and Mesidor, I expect our interior DL to take a step forward this year. Its both Moten and Scott's "money year". Though Scott is entering his junior year, for a 5 star DT, this season is crucial to his future.

We will more have more depth at Edge this year. Bain and Mesidor never left the field. This year, I cant see us relying on Wilson and Blount the same way. I expect Lightfoot and Lowe to see the field ALOT. As a room, I expect more even production from our DL.

Everyone rags on Wilson for his run defense but I wonder just how much Mizzou asked him to check the run. I watched alot of UGAs DL (im a big trey Scott fan). When he was at UGA, he only played sparingly but was physical at the LOS. I honestly think this concern, for Wilson is a bit exaggerated. I have full confidence JT can teach him to play within this system.

For me, the key to this room is health. Can we stay healthy!?! Because if we can, we'll have a DL that should take us to the playoffs.

People seem to forget that Jason Taylor is an elite DE coach who will be a defensive coordinator sooner than later. They also forget that Corey Hetherman is an elite Defensive coordinator who will be a head coach soon. Those two coaches are very much aware of the need to set the edge now that Bain and Mesidor are gone and if those two haven't been proactive about that very issue all offseason then they aren't who we thought they were. Sorry to ruin the suspense but Taylor and Hetherman are exactly who we thought they were.

I like what we have and big-time potential.

But I still gotta give the nod to last year… Especially with some possible flakiness from Lowe. I like Wilson, but don't think he's top 2 rounds at the moment. I consider him a drop off, but still a chance to be an above average pass rusher.

D-line still as strength and top 10 8-10 caliber unit. Just can't say better than last year.

Oregon qb is way over rated . I believe you miss my point . Oregon was loaded when he took over . He been re loading every year and losses every year . They avoided playing Ohio state last year . That L prob knocks them out the playoffs

Qb is over rated imo my point with that talent you don’t get blown out . That’s coaching
