Tell me who of relevance app state has beaten? For Gods sake you guys lost to arkansas state and got blown out by michigan last year. For the past 5 years your avg recruiting rank is 113, Miami 17. You guys play hard and are well coached and maybe had a shot against us if Golden was still coach......but he's not. You literally have 0 shot to win this game, and I don't think it will even be close. We out talent you at every single position.

App should've beaten UT with those same recruits yet UT has had better recruiting than Miami....

In theory, if you're 17th ranked recruiting classes meant anything you would've won the ACC by now, but ya haven't. App St matches up well with Miami in the trenches and that is where this game will be won or lost.

You are literally basing your analysis on one game. A game that you lost. You are a one dimensional football team, who couldn't pass against UT and will never beat anyone of relevance. But congrats on being a dominant sun belt team, and being happy your kept it close against UT

With Miami's FB larger than any of your starting DL, how do you offer App St matches up well with the Canes in tje trenches?

Do you beleive their [supposed] speed advantage is that much of a difference maker?

There is a speed disparity on App's line compared to other defensive lines. If the defensive ends can use their size and speed to their advantage, it can be a difference maker. They aren't asked to seal the edge or hold the offensive lines push on running plays, they are asked to get up field and attack the play. I wouldn't get so wrapped up in the size difference also because the middle linebackers are as big as the defensive ends. It doesn't seem ideal, however Nate Woody has used this defense with these types of players for as long as I can remember (at Wofford and then at App) and has always been fairly successful.

An offensive line, in my opinion, needs to be athletic. Teams like Miami are able to recruit big athletic linemen however the schools in the G5 generally don't have that luxury. We will see if the speed is primarily useful in G5 games or if it translates to P5 games as well. I feel like i'm beating a dead horse but the defensive line speed worked well against Tennessee. The 250 lb end split a double team, shed the running back and sacked Dobbs. He broke through the line several other times. That isn't a result of not being prepared. We will see if Miami can do any better but i'm not sure what to expect.
