I believe his addition to the squad and role in O scheme is the largest factor for returning some.semblence of a run game upfront push that has been missing for years at Miami.
Instead of your 250lb DL attacking a hold the position OL or even backpedaling in lass coverage...he now going to.be attacked by a 280ish lb wrecking ball running down hill at him. Williams is.not a 200ish lb RB giving a chip block as your DL rush by...he is as aggressive and.bigger than they are.
IMHO...he is the key difference in run and pass protection.schemes that I just dont see an answer for from App St.
In fact, at risk of being very, very wrong, Ill go so.far as.to say Richt's scheme at Miami might well lead to a mini-renaissance of the roadgrader FB position that SOME other programs will look to copy in years ahead.
